My hair often has flyaway hair that I try to tame often. I thought I'd give this a try. The smell is not overpowering, and it actually smells kind of nice. The consistency is somewhat thin so it is easy to spread throughout my hair. After blow drying my hair, I noticed it seemed shinier and softer. The flyaway hair seemed less. Overall, this is a good product!

Nice product
I have super curly/frizzy hair so I have tried many different hair products in an effort to control it. This left my hair feeling pretty soft and smooth. I do not use a blow dryer but I do use a hot straightening brush after my hair air dries and this product seemed to make the straightening process go a little quicker which meant less heat damage to my already dry hair. I think if you use a blow dryer as directed on the packaging it would do a good job.

Large amount of quality gel
This is a thick gel that rubs in well. While I don’t blow dry my hair, as suggested on the package, it definitely helped my hair calm down in the humidity. The container has a good amount of gel for the price. The scent is very mild, which I appreciate, as I don’t like to smell chemically. Overall, I like this straightening gel!

Silky feel
I have a mix of both coarse and regular/thick strands. As I age I have noticed my hair is much dryer and I am constantly trying new products to make my hair look vibrant without all the fly aways. I used to use a gel I loved but that was in my youth. So when I saw this sustainable, sulfate and paraben free gel I wanted to give it a try. I'm pretty sure I have never used an algae based product as a straightener so I was curious. I do like it! And I especially enjoy the smell. Not over powering or sickenly sweet. It smells clean. My husband also liked the smell. The gel was easy to distribute from the roots to the ends. The consistency is on the wetter/thin side. I used a good amount of gel as I have long hair to the middle of my back. The gel left my hair very silky feeling and it definitely had less frizz. I feel it also looks shiner than usual. I did not see any hair separating, like some gels that just make your hair look unwashed. I do think it's on the pricey side but I would still give it a thumbs up. Arrived with a tamper proof foil seal. No leakage.

Use as a Soft Hold Gel
Rather than a straightening gel, I use this as a soft hold hair gel (which I guess it kinda the same if you apply it to your edges). I have curly hair and I find it works that way. I also have used it to define my curls with my finger while they were damp.

Feels tacky but I discovered it help with braiding hair.
Thin consistency but not runny. Also feels dry and funny on the hands and feels okay in the hair. I noticed when I was braiding my hair it was way easier to braid and get grip on the hair. I use it for that and it does make my hair look more smooth just dont care for the drying feeling

It works!
I am actually surprised by how well this straightening gel works. I have hair that slightly curls, and I hate wasting extra time trying to straighten it. This gel is in fact super effective. All I do is apply a small amount of this thin gel on my hair, brush it, and then blow dry it with no tools whatsoever - and my hair is totally straight! The gel doesn't weigh my hair down or makes it look greasy. But I do feel like the gel dries my hair if I use it too often.

Best for Straight to Semi-Curly Hair
My daughter has 3A hair and this does not work well at managing or even holding her curls. It’s more of a liquid gel that goes on clear; however, doesn’t give a good hold. I think this would be best for someone with straight hair to tame the fly always or for semi-curly hair for the same reasons. It does dry quickly, but didn’t do anything for our daughter’s hair unfortunately.
