Tru-Spec Men's 1/4 Zip Winter Combat Shirt, 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex, Black.
I can’t speak highly enough of this item. Well made, fully lined, heavy duty yet light, soft and extremely comfortable to wear. I like the pocket arrangements and particularly the pen pocket on the sleeve. As another review points out, I’d pick the opportunities I choose to wear it as you’d cook if you were engaged in too strenuous activity such as humping through the bush with full kit. I’ll use mine while deployed in a vehicle patrol role. I’ll definitely purchasing a few more of these. After field testing this item I find I can wear a base layer (polypropylene) underneath it and stand out on the coldest of nights without feeling uncomfortably cold. I’ve also just purchased my second of these items in multicam. The single colour body is a lot darker than the desert tan colour displayed in the image on this site. It is more of a light olive green, which makes for a much better blend among foliage and terrain than the desert tan which tends to be too light for any terrain other than desert or arid conditions.

Highly recommended
The winter shirt doesn’t stretch as much as the summer shirt. It’s a little tight in the pits. I would recommend going up a size. I’m 6’0’’ 200lbs. I wear a medium in the summer shirt. I went with a large for this shirt, if you have big shoulders/arms I would go up a size. I wore an under armour winter shirt under this shirt and was sweating by the end of 8 hour training in 35F weather. Very comfortable, warm and well constructed. Well worth the money.

Perfect for on duty
This combat shirt was everything I was hoping it would be. It’s warm, true to size, not too baggy, and fits perfect under my tac vest. I’ve used layers with uniform shirts and different combinations of coats and jackets under my vest in the winter, but this thing is a game changer.

Okay, I admit that I really love this shirt
For me, I really love a shirt that actually fits rather than hangs loose looking baggy like a sleeping bag. And that's why I'm taking the time to write a positive review on the Tru-Spec Combat shirt. Yes, I do like the velcro sides where I can add patches and yes, the abundance of well thought out pockets were a real plus, but above all else, I feel very comfortable wearing this around for everyday use as well as in the field. And while I'm sure you can buy it oversized if you like a loose fit, fo me the big plus is to have a form fitting shirt that's still functional and build to last.

4 1/2 Stars? Alittle tight under the armpits
The on my reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it is shuttle snug under the arms I the arm pits. Much tighter than the thinner combat shirt. And alittle shorter in the arms too. I am 6'5 220 lbs so its alittle hard to fine long sleeve shirts thst fit. Very comfortable and very soft, i must have the winter. I will no long have to wear a coat in the PNW for work during those cold winter nites

Warm with body armor, little wind protection.
Quality as expected from tru-spec, the body material is warm under body armor, but struggles to retain heat when windy. The sleeves are a rugged on the exterior, and are lined with the seen body material and the sleeves do a better job of retaining heat while windy. Sleeves do get very bulky if rolled. As expected in fit, functionality, and features.

Nice
Ok, this is not a slam this combat shirt is awesome. As well it'll keep you comfortable and warm in cold weather. No need for a jacket or coat. So if you have to put on a kit and work all day or night this is a fine choice or you are a velcro warrior and want to look cool and be warm doing it i highly recommend this shirt.

Digital midnight great quality
I rate this very good quality and stitching. This is the shirt I would wear to a winter night with no snow battle, if I was ever in one. I have the digital midnight(good name for a band or something) in XL long & it was $16 so, there was no way to go wrong. The materials look durable and the long option fit is great because I'm 6'5. I would buy another color but for some reason they want bunch more money. I can't think of anything I don't like about this shirt unless you think looking like a total bad ass getting ready to take down a boatload of smugglers is unacceptable.
