Excellent for Mixed Drinks

My taste but may not be all that sensitive to detect the true level of oakiness in a good bourbon, but I am sensitive enough to know when the chlorination of my local water and other addons leave an odd aftertaste in my bourbon on the rocks. I also see the aftermath in the bottom of the glass. To that end, I use these trays with distilled water for perfectly cubed 1" ice cubes. They leave no contamination and no aftertaste in my drink. My favorite single malt scotch was also the recipient of these cubes, to my delight in the difference. If you enjoy having your own decent spirits for your enjoyment, these trays will be an excellent addon to your bar equipment. They are dishwasher safe, but I have found that they are much better washed in a mild sudsy water with a toothbrush and then rinsed first under the tap, and then with distilled water. The perfect sized cube can be slightly difficult to remove. They don't stick at all, but you will need to press them out by hand from the bottom. I freeze them in my upright freezer than maintains them at -20° and will chill my drink quickly. They are almost photo worthy in a nice crystal rocks glass, my favorite. Sometimes good things are worth a little extra work.

Can’t remember if it was this brand or another where people commented on a chemical smell, but these don’t have that. Ice cubes taste only like water used.

Makes great cubes, but SO DIFFICULT to remove the cubes

Still on the fence keeping these silicon ice tray. While I like the size of the cubes (they last pretty long in a drink), they are a BUGGER to remove from the tray.

These have a shiny finish in the trays unlike the cheap ones which are more matte which helps the cubes come out easier. I experienced first hand the cheap ones leaving an oily sheen in the water and some weird cloudy floaters when the ice melted which continued no matter how much I washed or scrubbed with dish soap and simple green. These did leave a bit of oily sheen in the water the first time after washing but scrubbing with a tooth brush and simple green got rid of it, I assume it is a release agent from the manufacturing process. I think the shiny finish makes it less porous and so whatever chemicals are used to make them does not remain in the tray like the cheap ones.

Finally! An ice cube tray worth writing about.

I wanted a tray that made larger cubes for some of my drinks. These trays were perfect. They fit nicely into the little mini-fridge I have under my bar, their flexible construct makes the cubes easy to remove, and the large size cubes were just what I'd hoped for. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Sturdy silicone trays for any frozen food

Very sturdy ice cube trays. We use them to freeze food cubes (i.e. stock, soup, egg whites, fruit and juice for smoothies, etc.) then transfer the frozen cubes to freezer bags. They are easy to fill and hold a good amount. Because the sides are sturdy, the cubes are a bit fiddly to remove since we don't want to defrost the cubes by dipping them in hot water; however the cubes can be pushed out enough to grab the top and pull them out. Since they are silicone, the trays do not transfer flavours and clean up easily with soap and water. Quite pleased so far with this purchase.

If you like cubed ice

You will get ice cubes from this ice cube tray. You have to fight to remove them, but once they're out, they're very ice-cubey. probably some of the cubiest cubes i've ever laid eyes on. aesthetic cubes are good cubes.

Great ice cube trays!

Perfect sized ice cubes for your drinks! For the 15 ice cubes it uses about 500ml of water, and the cubes are approx 1" cubes. They don't fit through the neck of some of my bottles, but that's not a huge deal. Love it, easy to get them out, works great, I love it!

ice ice baby.

You get exactly what is pictured, two silicone ice cube trays that are super durable and easy to clean. I consider silicone the best material for ice-cube making due to the fact that it's easy to pop out of the mold, and there's no chance of hard plastic breaking. Only thing that bothers me a bit is that it's easy to spill over if not placed correctly, but that's not worth ticking a star off as any tray without a cover is susceptible to that.

Really like the size. Slightly difficult to remove, but running under water for a a few seconds loosens them easily.
