The night glow button makes it difficult to read the time because of the Blue background on the face. But its a good price and I'm sure it will last.

Solid watch, but cheap straps and second hand issue

Overall, I was satisfied with my purchase for this casual/weekend watch. However, the second hand on the chronograph function has recalibrated to be aligned at the 1 second position. Similar situation for the minutes hand on the chronograph function - its at about 3/4 to the 1 minute position. Not too big of a deal personally because the chronograph is more for the aesthetics, anyway. Otherwise, time is very accurate; it has lost about 10 seconds over a month (avg. +/- 1 sec/day). Leather strap feels incredibly flimsy, so I almost exclusively use the blue NATO instead. After only a month of use, the holes on the strap have started to fray a bit. I don't mind since it's a casual watch for me, but may be something to consider. Price point is good (not great); I would consider buying a Timex Weekender Chronograph CASE that you really want and then shop around for an additional quality leather or NATO strap. Hindsight is 20/20, but comparing price you can get that combo for around $10-30 less than the price for this specific product. Another positive with this watch is that most straps can be interchanged easily, nearly eliminating my above qualms with this product. Hope this helps!

Nice and cheap! What more do you want? (How to use the chronograph)

I’ve had this watch for a few months now. It is so nice! I was looking for something that I could wear everyday and it had to be not too expensive. This Timex is perfect! I work in a hospital setting so the 24-hour time on the watch helps a lot. Now, as far as the chronograph (or “stop watch.”) If the “big” second hand on the watch is NOT moving, it means the chronograph is NOT ON. To turn the chronograph on, press the top button. Press the top button again to stop the chronograph. While the chronograph is off, press the bottom button to reset it. The only hand that should be moving at all times (except for when the chronograph is ON) is the small hand on the bottom gauge. The small hand on the bottom gauge is actually the hand that is keeping track of the time in seconds. Again, THE “BIG” SECOND HAND SHOULD NOT BE MOVING UNLESS YOU ARE USING THE CHRONOGRAPH! If you accidentally start the chronograph, the chronograph will automatically stop in 4 hours to conserve battery.

Simple yet dignified.

I’ve had this watch now for 3 years and am very happy with it. In my original review I wrote “Classy, functional, and quality. This has enough heft without being a burden, but still has the feel of a quality piece of hardware. Whether it is high quality or not I couldn't say. I'm not familiar with any other quality and am fine with that. I don't want to spend $500 on a watch that I might lose tomorrow when I can get this baby for less than $100.” That’s all still true and I have more to say. There is some kind of voodoo magic in the crystal face of the watch because I cracked it on a table by accident and within days the crack slowly disappeared. You can still see it in a certain light and angle but it’s invisible otherwise. The leather band is super sharp looking and I have gotten a lot of compliments about it but beware to not get it wet or it could get discolored. It also stretches over time so I have used the backup band mostly. Overall I’m very happy with the watch, it’s still in great shape in spite of the abuse I’ve put it through. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Great, robust basic watch !!! (SECOND HAND STAYS STILL unless stopwatch is used)

Simple and solid, this is a great watch for an every day beater. The dark blue looks almost black, but I think it looks better that way. The strap IS light tan when you first get it, but it'll darken over time with use. Furthermore, I personally like that the strap is thin. There is lume on the hands, and the indiglo allows you to see the time clearly. !!!! The large second hand is not supposed to move, unless the stopwatch is engaged. If it is not resetting to its positions, there are instructions online on how to calibrate that. I mistakenly thought it was broken when i first received as I didn't know. The smaller circle on the bottom contains the second marker for time. These Timex watches are built to last. If you're looking for an inexpensive, trustworthy watch, I highly recommend this one. Not to mention, the brand is more respectable than virtually all the "fashion" watches that have flooded the market. It was a toss up between this and the Seiko SNK807.

Good value

I’m not the kind of guy who buys tons of watches, so when I buy one I want it to be a solid value watch that performs and lasts. I’ve only purchased 1 watch before this one and it was a SEIKO SNA411. That watch is a beast, but I wanted a cheaper one that would be convenient to wear at night because of the bright indiglo feature. That being said, I wore this watch into the ocean on my beach trip and i have worn it in pools and I wore it kayaking a week ago and it’s still ticking away with no signs of moisture leaks. It looks great and I have no regrets purchasing it. I got the blue face and it looks great with the blue nato strap. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good value chronograph watch.

Esfera hermosa, correas desechables

El estuche donde llega es bonito, excelente para ser un regalo o almacenar relojes y correas dentro, la esfera es hermosa, la iluminación Indiglo también, tamaño y peso medios, resistencia al agua solo de 30m por lo cual apenas resiste ligeras salpicaduras, las correas se intercambian en 10 segundos, es fácil hacerlo, el único detalle a tomar en cuenta es que las correas son casi desechables, deberás considerar comprar otras, aún así por el precio y los materiales de la esfera vale completamente el gasto, en la foto comparo las correas vs otra de otro modelo Timex.

Looks great!

Looks and works great - kind of annoying that you have to set up the chronograph/reset it so it goes back to zero. Looks weird if you don't but pulled up the manual online and followed the instructions. Loving the dual strap setup. easy to change out as well. The brown band is a little lighter in real life than what the ad shows but other than that, I'm very happy. I get compliments as well, From a short distance, it looks very similar to a Hamilton watch. I gave 4 stars as I feel that the chronograph should come set to reset to zero from factory, people that aren't very tech savvy might have an issue with it and have to deal with what looks like a broken watch

Versátil, bonito, útil y cómodo

Me encanto lo versátil que puede ser este reloj para combinarlo con distintos colores y estilos de ropa, ademas su diseño es muy agradable a la vista, no te arrepentirás de comprarlo , si bien es cierto como habrás leído, su correa es delgada y hay que cuidarla para que dure un poco más pero nada que procurar, este lo uso a diario y por esto el coso beneficio en excelente. En general tiene muy buenos materiales y acabados , la luz indiglo detrás de toda la carátula le da un extra sobre muchas otras marcas y ayuda perfectamente en el cine o en la madrugada. Es un accesorio con muchas ventajas.

Great looking watch.

Great looking watch. Good deal. The leather strap is a little too thin and lighter than I expected. But the colour combination works. I wear it both formal and casual. I haven't used the black fabric strap that it came with so not sure how it looks yet. The only odd thing is the regular second hand is the actual chronograph counter so it sits still making the watch look like it's broken. I keep it on the 12 mark. The actual time second counter is the dial by the 6. Took some time to learn how to operate/set. I just downloaded the manual from Timex website.
