Sturdy short leash

This leash is sturdy and comfortable in the hand. If I choose to slip my hand through the handle, the leather at the end of the loop offers a nice place to grasp. The slip lead is a good fit for medium and large dogs, but I’d probably choose a more slender lead for small dogs. While I don’t generally prefer slip leads, this is handy for training and also if I should ever need to round up a neighborhood dog who has gotten loose and isn’t wearing a collar. (Half of the posts to our neighborhood association Facebook page are either folks asking if anyone has seen their dogs who escaped or people reporting a dog wandering without its humans.) This is a rather short leash since the total length includes the portion of the lead that goes around the dog’s neck.

Bulky on Smaller Dogs

This was my first experience with a slip lead leash. At first, I didn't know that the leather piece could be adjusted to move up and down so, it can fit accordingly do the dogs neck size. I actually thought there would be a clip at the end of the leash. From the photos I have uploaded, you can see that it is still quite big for a small dog even though I realized it can be adjusted after the fact. My dog is a 4lb Pomeranian-Mix and I wouldn't suggest this leash for smaller dogs because it looks quite bulky. I had ordered another leash by Terrain D.O.G. and it is on the thinner side and has carabiner at the end it--most suitable for smaller dogs. I'll put the link below. A little too much leash for my needs

I purposely chose a short leash because I need it for picking up small, usually elderly, rescue dogs at the shelter & bring them to foster care, so I just need a small slip lead to make sure that they are safely with me between the shelter and the car. I thought because it was a short leash, it would be suited to smaller dogs, but it's super duper thick!! It's honestly too heavy for most of the dogs I deal with. Would be good if you need to keep tight control (close to your body) of a very strong, compact dog.

Great easy leash

Super easy slip on leash that keeps the dog by your side. I have 5 and we're constantly misplacing leashes. Luckily, this is super bright and can be spotted from afar. Even if it gets hidden between sofa cushions or under coats. I have a slip collar for the dogs and the leash essentially works the same way. No need for a collar and leash. You can just slip this on and go. It's very convenient. Especially, if you have a surprise visitor. You can just slip this on and hold the dog. Quick, convenient, and easy to use.

Excellent Leash

My first "slip lead" style leash that I got from the dog trainer was on its way out so was very interested in trying this one out. After using for about a week now I wouldn't hesitate to give this product 5*. This thing is super sturdy (got the thicker 4ft version) and is comfortable both for me and for my dog. I primarily use this type of leash when I'm trying to wrangle him in from one of his play sessions, or if we're hiking or something it's easy to quickly throw it on my dog if needed. Also great for training. Only advise I would give is that if you have a smaller dog I'd definitely recommend going with the smaller diameter as the larger diameter is definitely chunky. I'm really thrilled with this product and based on how beefy this thing is I expect to be using it for years to come. Excellent leash, dog and human approved in this household.

A good sturdy leash

I got this as a 4' leash, which I think is the ideal size if you don't want your dog to stray too far from you. I have another leash made out of climbing rope, but it is much heavier than this due to the heavy clip at the end. This is a nice leash because it is lightweight, but shouldn't fray like a lot of flash leashes. I keep it in my car as a spare in case I want to take my dog out but don't want to grab his leash. It is also great to keep in my car in case I see a lost dog or stray. Since it's a slip lead, I can easily use it for stray dogs that don't have a collar to clip onto.

Nice Slip Leash

If you've got a dog that pulls, this is the leash for you. You slip it over their neck and pull the little stopper to the biggest size you want it to be. He doesn't escape from it at all. But it does tighten if he pulls, which discourages that behavior. He has gotten much better about not pulling on walks. This would also make a great "emergency" leash. You know, when a random dog pops up in your yard and you need to walk him home or somewhere and he doesn't have a collar. Good leash. Works really well.
