Highly recommend getting 4 pieces
Fast free shipping. I got these weighted version vs. the one's you have to fill with sand/water. Much simpler to design in my opinion. Product is packaged very well with styrofoam in all four corners to prevent damage. Each plate came in its own box. Highly recommend getting 4 pieces. Nice decorative design and the handles made it easy to carry / move. I was tired of the umbrella tipping over - even in moderate wind. These cost more than my umbrella but worth it. If I had to do it over again, i may rethink the cantilever umbrella as a purchase. Great for blocking the late afternoon sun which is the reason for the umbrella but just cumbersome. First day with the product, will see how it holds up to the wind and outdoor abuse (sun / rain).

Misleading
Who would order ONE triangular weight for their umbrella base that has space for four? It is naturally assumed that this would be a set of weights for the matching umbrella. So now, I have to either return it, or spend an additional $120 on three more? UPDATE: I ordered 3 more for the total of 4. They do NOT fit snugly along the Sundale umbrella base as advertised. They sort of "loosely" sit on top of the rail edge. It holds the umbrella upright, but if you need to move the umbrella even the SLIGHTEST amount, you will then have to reposition all 4 weights on the 1/8" of the rail they actually sit on. It's not well-designed at all. And there is NO WAY to permanently attach the weights to the umbrella base! That is simply ludicrous for something this pricey.

Very attractive and easy to install
I was looking for an umbrella stand that would not only keep the umbrella down, but also look attractive. I didn't care for the looks of the big plastic ones, and I noticed this one was made out of some sort of metal, so I thought I would give it a try. I am very happy with both the looks and the weight of it. You don't have to fill it with sand or water like the others, which is a definite plus! the weights also have a handle on the end of them, which makes it easier to move your umbrella, or put in storage. The only downside to this one is that you have to order one piece at a time, so it turns out to be very expensive.

Be aware if buying all four and one arrives broken, return process isn't simple
Just bought the set of four plates. And while they are heavy and look good, one couldn't handle the shipping process. It's happens. The only thing is the return process isn't as simple as you hope it'll be should something go awry. Amazon has to contact them to get a single slat replaced. Nobody answers calls at Sundale, voice mail is full so you can't leave a message and their live chats had no one on the other end. So now if I need to return one I have to haul all four (120lbs combined weight) slats to ups and reorder the whole thing again and hope I don't have the same problem. Or I can take the loss and order a single one which drives up the price even further. Again nice product but their service doesn't seem on point.

Better than Sand, but breakable and not secure.
These look good, I like them. Downsides is that they can break easily and, while not the fault of this product, the umbrella stands runners that these sit on are too narrow so even in a mild wind, the base can work free of the weights. Plan on finding a better way to secure these weights to the stand.

Looks great & handle makes the pieces easy to carry
A lot of the umbrella bases I found online look like canvas bags or are made of plastic. The base is very large so I appreciate that the ribbed bronze design with a touch of gold being nice to look at. The pieces are easy to carry because of the handles and they slide easily into place to secure my offset umbrella. I've only had the base for a month or so now, but it seems to be resistant to bad weather.
