Great shop addition
The noise level isn’t too bad it’s like every normal bench grinder. The assembly was kind of a pain. But other than that you got a great bench grinder for the money, and the namebrand, one at that cause the two grinding wheels, but I swapped one out for a wire wheel. i’ve had no problems on my bench grinder, and surprisingly has a little bit more power than you would think. I have recommended this to several of my friends that desperately need one in their shop.

Beat for the price
I had a couple other cheaper bench grinders from competitors and they worked but they had no torque. You could stall them out very easily. This dewalt has a lot of power and it does not stall out when you load it up. So far I have used it to grind on some tough steel and it worked flawless. Would recommend, worth the cost, very good unit.

Good but could be better
I have the old Black & Decker version of this grinder (over 20 years old). The old one was better in a few ways. One issue is there is no way to lock or hold the shaft when when replacing wheels. In Fact I had to use the nut on my old black and decker to jam the two nuts together to hold it. The old black and decker had a slot to hold the shaft, this has nothing. It really should have a locking pin like most circular saws do. The old black & decker had just plain plexy glass for shields. In fact, the photo shown for Dewalt shows exactly that, that is not what you get now. The Dewalt is all custom molded plastic. Not easy to replace with generic plexy glass and these shields to need to be replaced. I bought a DEWALT wire brush for it. Nightmare getting it to not rub a lot. I might return it.

A little more expensive but well worth the price. Solid, quality built, powerful just what I need to sharpin axes, knives chisel etc. Happy to have this purchase

Description of HP and RPMs is incorrect
This product is 5/8 hp motor not 3/4 hp as noted on web description. The RPMs for the 6” are 3450 instead of noted 3600. Dewalt is a good product, the 6” bench grinder will do for our needs but 3/4 hp would have been better.

Couldn't figure out how to assemble plastic shield.
Try as I might I couldn't figure out how to assemble the plastic shield that hovers over the grinding wheel. Finally gave up and reused the one from my 20 year old craftsman. Also reused the craftsman tool rest. Much studier. Went so far as to install the light I removed from the same craftsman grinder. I now have a pretty decent bench grinder. ( replaced the craftsman because the shaft was a little out of balance). Very happy with all my other Dewalt tools, but this seems a little less "professional ". I'm sure it will be plenty good for my garage projects.

Great machine
I have some other Dewalt equipment. I have a cutoff saw had for 20 + years & still is a great product. I did have a problem with the drill & power drill not being able to return to Home Depot. The winding in Chuck failed . Needless to say , I switched brands on my drills & reciprocal saw & circular. I took a chance on the bench grinder & bought the optional brush wheel . I will see how it works . It is quiet (low noise) & seems a high rpm. Easy to install safety guides & shields. Dewalt is not the best in my book , I think the drills were compromised using cheaper parts in China ! So I’m not completely satisfied with their other equipment & disposed of 2 drills & batteries. Use your own judgment & reviews for other brands when purchasing any tools . My honest opinion!

Works well....nice little bench grinder
Seems to work well. I would say this is for the home shop use. I would imagine it wouldn't hold up to a commercial shop but that's not what it's designed for. Went together well. Seems powerfully enough. Nice grinder for the price. Shelves seem ok. Plastic eye guards shake and vibrate up and down when not snugged down but overall passable for the price.

Works ok for lite duty jobs,
Works great with wire wheel for cleaning up rusty metal parts, It would be better if it could lock the shaft while tightening the end nuts for the wheels , I realize they don’t have to be super tight but it would make it much easier,

Meuleuse d'établie puissante.
Malheureusement j'ai du retourner ma premiere meuleuse reçu du a une vibration excessive et la deuxième, que j'ai conservé a alle aussi un peu vibration du aux pierre de meulage de mauvaise qualité. Donc une petit problème de qualité qui a besoin d'être amélioré.

Good bench grinder, for shop use
I like Dewalt products and this is no exception. Great amount of power, nice clean design, shields and support. Was a bit skeptical about the power, we have had another industrial unit at the dealership for a very long time and a few times when we decided to change it, the replacement unit was weak. But this thing has held up quite nicely. I use it at my shop regularly and it doesn't bog down when some power is required, I'm very happy with it

excellent outil
Je l'ai acheté pour remplacer une machine d'une quarantaine d'années. J'ai choisi le touret d'établi Dewalt pour son support à outil plus variable que ceux des autres marques. Je ne me suis pas trompé, le soutien est excellent et l'angle reste précis et stable. Un bémol, les meules sont difficiles à changer, les petites vis du couvercle ne sont pas faciles à remettre. Il aurait pu fournir une clé de 10 mm pour ajuster le porte-outil.
