Okay, not flimsy but not as sturdy as I would have liked

I thought these would be sturdier but the buckle feels kind of flimsy. The are not easy to figure out for the first time. The instructions are terrible and the straps are not intuitive at all (e.g. no obvious places to press, pull or put your fingertips). Now that I have used them a few times I can tighten and loosen no problem but they were hard to learn to use. I use the straps to attach things to my bicycle, so there is an upper limit to the size and weight of what I would carry but I don't know if I would trust them with very heavy items. I do feel like they are a good value for the price and they meet my needs.

Use more than you think you need

I bought these to help move my 150cc scooter 6 hours to my new house. They are decently thick and fairly easy to ratchet. I figured two would be the right number as they were tightly ratcheted. I was wrong and my bike tipped on the drive up. It was my own fault. I assumed since they were thick that I wouldn't need too many. I should have used all of them. You know - overkill. However, even with the bike falling the straps didn't break. I'm very pleased with them and will be using them in the future to move furniture. However, I'll be making it so that even the Hulk couldn't pry them off.

Not best quality

Cheap metal ratchets, works for now but doesn’t feel like they will hold up in the long run.

Crappy ratchets but good straps

I like how strong they are, but the releases on the ratchets like to hang up. When you’re 5’2” trying to tie down a motorcycle, these just won’t do. I went with a set of Harbor Freight straps that worked so much better. I can tie down one handed now while sitting on the bike. Save your money! Get the Harbor Freight straps instead.

Sturdy. Good for camping

Good deal for the price. Used this on a 10’x10’ canopy with 3/4” pole. Worked well under wind and rain. I would spray the black buckle with wd40 as soon as you open it. Will fair better against the rain, if that happens to be an issue.

Think Harbor Freght qualityor less

Definitely not the old Stanley Tools of many years ago. They were cheap then, now cheaper. Hard to operate, but good enough for a one time use. Once they get any rust at all, they will be done.

You get what you paid for, but they work

I just find rachet straps finicky. These worse than the others. To pull the strap out, you have to cock the rachet open, ALL THE WAY. This is where I run into problems. You have to really compress the release mechanisism to get it open. The thin metal cuts into your fingers and you have to jiggle it. Or it fights you back. Maybe 3 star on Sturdiness is tough on them, but the mechanism doesn't seem near as solid as my other straps. And the one inch wide seems too thin. But that's on me I guess, should have ordered a broader and thicker strap. They are plenty long enough. They work and they are a pretty good price.

Good enough quality but sharp

These are as advertised and decent quality but I'd advise rubber grips as these are quite sharp and I've sliced myself once already.

Garbage - poor quality and finishing

Absolute garbage. Where do I start? The ratchet mechanism is flimsy and thin and some of the components have warped after 1 use. This is after light use I may add. The worst part? I cut my finger in two places due to poor machining and finishing. The upper latch handle lip has a razor edge on a couple of the straps. It cut my finger open cleanly. This is due to crap fabrication and finishing. Don’t buy these - I thought the Stanley name would mean decent quality but it doesn’t here. Stay away.
