Decent Set for the Price Point

Overall I think it is a good set for the price point. You are definitely getting a lot of plastic in the various components (thus 4 stars), so the true test will be how it holds up over time, but it looks nice, lock on bar is easy to operate, and the shower flow is decent for the 2.5 gpm limit (much better than the builder supplied basic head). You could pull various limiters if you were inclined to get unregulated flow, but unless you are willing to drill out the small flow control hole in the diverter there isn't much point. I wish the hole in the lower mounting bracket was offset a little more than it is as it is still somewhat obscured by the bar making it tough to get a straight shot at the screw when mounting. I was careless and stripped one of the screw heads because of this, but it is easy enough to get another screw.

Perfect Upgrade for Our Shower

Over the past ten years, we have purchased several different shower heads and "systems" looking for a better shower experience. Recently, we stayed at a motel that had a Speakman shower head. What a difference. The flow and adjustability were exactly what we were lacking. After shopping around, and choking a little on the price, I finally looked on Amazon. I found this Alexandria Slider Shower System and ordered it. Good price and it arrived in two days (Prime). It took a couple of hours to install including picking up a tile bit at the hardware store. After it was installed, I tried it out. It looks great and operates as well as the one in the motel. The valve that switches between the heads takes little effort and works smoothly. Both heads are well made and the spray adjusts easily from soft shower to a hard stream. I called my wife in to take a look and she said, "it really adds some class to the bathroom." We are both very pleased with the Speakman product and the excellent service from Amazon.

What a nice product.

This unit has the normal speakman quality. Great. Everything fit and no leaks. 20 minutes to install bar and all. One interesting thing I found was that with the diverter valve on top of the regular shower head a person needing to use the short shower such as someone who must bathe in a chair or my 7 year old, just can't reach it. So even though the side shower is short a short person can't turn it on. Interesting but that is the way they all are. So I just leave it on short when I get out and that way the little one has a perfect height shower with no problem. Then I just flip it to tall when I use it. This is a fair trade cuz I rarely put the toilet seat down.

Like it but.....

Beautiful product and good shower heads, but DON'T get it with the VS-111 2-way diverter if you intend to be able to operate both shower heads simultaneously. Instead, buy the Delta U4923 Three-Way Deluxe Shower Arm Diverter. I found a 3-way diverter online at half the cost of the Speakman 2-way diverter. I asked Speakman why it doesn't sell the 3-way diverter with its shower head system. It replied that to do so would be illegal. Hard to understand, because the components are shipped separately, and Delta has no problem making or selling its 3-way valve.

This was a replacement for an old showe head

Overall, very nice shower head. The only thing that surprised me was how light the hand held unit was. It feels,Ike plastic which concerns me a bit about its longevity. That being said , the water jet feels good and is adjustable.

Perfect Solution

This is a perfect product for my husband and me who share the shower! He has his permanent shower head that I do not touch and I have my adjustable shower head on a slide attached to a grab bar. Since I like to sit while showering the extra long hose is perfect for shampooing my hair while sitting. The quality is excellent and we both love it!
