Beautiful quality and finish

This is a beautiful spout. Very heavy and set up to take a straight piece of 1/2" copper tubing between 1 1/2 and 3" long out of the wall. It secures with a screw on the bottom. There's a small o-ring in the spout that, hopefully, seals so water doesn't come back and drain out the screw hole on the bottom. Make sure the pipe is nice and clean and smooth. Use some Scotch Brite pads and grease the o-ring.

Pretty good overall, but don't expect a flawless finish

First off, this thing is big. If you don't have an application that requires a big, long spout, this is probably not a good choice for you. I did need one because I have a large soaker tub with a wide rim and a wall mounted faucet. It was really tough to find a long wall mounted spout that wasn't really expensive. I also wanted one without a diverter, but that just wasn't going to happen, so I settled on this one and just removed the diverter. The spout itself is pretty solid and installation was easy. You can install it in three ways: 1) with a short MPT stub, 2) with a long MTP stub, or 3) with a o-ring-sealed slip fit. My only complaint is that the quality of the finish is not great. There are visible cross-hatch marks in the finish. It's not scratched (if it was I would have returned it for a replacement). It appears to be just the way these are made - the metal is not getting polished to a sufficient degree. Unless you're a perfectionist like me, this probably won't bother you, but I wanted to mention it.

Not as easy to slide on as one would think.

This is a really attractive spout that replaced our 40 year old spout. I didn't realize how easy it is to upgrade bath fixtures. Until I tried to slide it onto the copper pipe. The pipe is 1/2", which shouldn't be a problem. But, after loosening the interior screw, I had to sand the pipe and really coax the spout on. In putting it on and off, the interior pieces all fell out, which took a while for me to figure out how to put them back together in the right order. Because it was so tight, it was hard to get the spout flush against the tile. I am fine with small gap b/c the spout is so pretty.

Moen makes the best one for most of their tub spouts that clamps ...

The only issue I have with this spout is the set screw that secures it to the copper. It's the same system that 90% of the slip-fit tub spouts use. It has an allen set screw that seats against the copper. If someone gets it too tight then it will cause a leak, sometimes not right away, but eventually. I've fixed many copper stub-outs in my time as a plumber. Moen makes the best one for most of their tub spouts that clamps around the pipe rather a set screw. I wish others would do this, too. So be warned that if you over-tighten this spout it will damage the copper and cause a leak. Be careful! Never try and spin the spout with the set screw tightened down, always line the spout where you want it and then snug the set screw to the copper.

Looks just like photo. Works great with older plumbing, easily installed with no sharp corners

I purchased this for our bathroom because we wanted something less square without hard edges that might rust. Our previous one was more than 30 years old and looked it. Our plumber put this one it in in a few minutes. There was nothing extra needed. In fact, he liked it so much, he took down the information to recommend it to others. We have had it a few weeks now and it looks great. We have had a lot of compliments on it. It looks like a million bucks and there are no sharp edges to cause a cut if a child falls or pulls up under it. It fit our very old house plumbing and holes with no issues and matches our sink’s round spout perfectly.

Nice but

Really nice looking & heavy spout. Unfortunately it wouldn't work for me so I had to sadly return.

Its Slip on.. not Screw on

Pretty easy to install. My old set up was Screw on so I used my tube cutter to cut pipe down to 2 3/4 inches from the wall ( instructions say no more than 3 inches long) used some steel wool to clean the crud off the pipe. All went well from there, when the rubber grommet seal gets to the pipe it gets somewhat tighter (as it should). Then line it up and then tighten the set screw. Do not over tighten and do not try to twist when tight, this may cause the pipe to leak later.
