Farmhouse lamp

Limited Use

I love the design of this lamp. The metal base with the wood bottom and top are really beautiful and rather unique. Those are the reasons I purchased the lamp in the first place. What I did not expect was the size of the lamp. Even reading the dimensions of the lamp did not prepare me for the sheer size of it. It literally dwarfed every end and side table in my den and living room. The shade alone is huge and unwieldy. The harp can barely support its size and, therefore, the shade rocks from side to side. A little revamping of the size of the lamp and the shade would make the lamp far more useful in any setting, not just for large tables, consoles, or credenzas. I would give this lamp 5 stars for beauty, but only 3 stars for its limited usefulness.

Perfect fit

Large, sturdy but sent back

I did not properly measure and was surprised at how large this lamp was. It’s a good lamp for the farmhouse style. Unfortunately I had to return it as the lamp shade was damaged in shipment/packaging. You could not turn the shade to other side because of the seam. But if you like the style, it’s a fairly well made lamp. Also I even tried to find a new lampshade for it, but because of its size, I couldn’t find one of that shape and size.

Freakishly large!!!!

The bottom part of the lamp is so pretty!! It was exactly what I was looking for. But once one takes into consideration the shade, then it looks like a lamp for a giant’s house!!!! According the s dimensions, it is nineteen inches wide. Reading that and seeing it are definitely not the same!!!!! The lamp is HUGE!! The image in the ad-which is the only image I could find of the lamp on any site (and I checked about a dozen as I was trying to make up my mind and find the best deal), in no way depicts the size. By looking at the image above, one would think it’s just an average sized table lamp. Well it’s not. The shade is every bit as wide-if not wider - than my table!!

Love this lamp!

Very pretty and substantial lamp, my only complaint is the thread tube that holds the electrical wires below the harp holder was not attached in any way to the base of the lamp. Usually these things are threaded and screw into the top of the lamp... no threads. I glued it in place, works fine. pretty lamp.
