Terrible

One of the worst shaving products I’ve ever used, and as a guy who shaves his head I’ve tried a ton of them. First, it smells awful. Smells like straight ammonia. Performs just as bad too. Does not absorb into the skin at all to provide a lasting slickness. After the first pass with a razor it all just wipes away. I was using globs of it at a time just to keep my skin lubricated enough to actually shave. Sure, the stuff it clear like they say, but that doesn’t help the product to be actually useful.

helps with shave protection

My husband avoids shaving quite a bit since he finds it uncomfortable. I got him the SheaMoisture shave oil and the shave gel to help with irritation. He prefers a foam, but found this shave gel comfortable. He did really like the shave oil from the SheaMoisture line. I nabbed the gel for shaving my underarms, and tend to agree with him about liking foam better. Of course, this is subjective since a product like this is quite personal. The gel works to protect your skin during shaving, but personal preference leads me back to shave foam. Not just for men of color

My husband had quite a scruff going on and was impressed with the results he got with this shave gel. He felt the gel tightened his skin and made the razor glide more effortlessly. He used this with the Softening Oil and believes you'll get the best results using the products together. The tube had a foil seal. This is currently $10.99 plus an extra 20% off today. He liked it better than his normal Dollar Shave products.

Decent shave

I am always looking for "THE ONE" - a grooming product to get me to stop looking for other products. This one...is not The One. It did provide a decent but not spectacular shave. Has a nice light, not overpowering scent, which I greatly appreciated. The consistency is smooth. Clear and not runny so you can see where you have shaved. The issue I have is it does not lather at all, so I do not feel it is lubricating my skin as well as needed.

My husband likes this product. It leaves his skin feeling nice and refreshed. And it doesn't have an overpowering scent.
