Great goggles for kids

My children love these goggles. They keep the water out. They will keep them on the entire time they are swimming without issues. I like that their nose isn’t covered so it doesn’t block their breathing when wearing them for a long period. They also hold up and last. My son used his all last summer and this summer as well and they’re still going strong.

OK goggles

These are OK goggles and better than cheap “eyecup-style” goggles. The eyepieces are much larger “eyecup-style” goggles but smaller than some e.g.Aqua Sphere Unisex Adult Vista Open Water Swimming Mask, Blue/Black/Clear Lens, Regular - a lot depends on the size you want. If you want larger lenses (and a larger field of view), I would buy Aqua Sphere goggles (which I prefer). The strap adjusts very easily – so much faster than eyecup-style goggles. Just press a red button to lengthen the strap – it is that easy. With eyecup-style goggles, you have to feed the strap through a locking clip – it’s a pain. These are so much better. TIP: To see if these goggles fit, place them over your eyes WITHOUT putting the strap around your head. Apply light pressure to the lenses, pressing them gently against your face. If the goggles stick to your face (due to the very mild vacuum created) without falling off, they fit. If they fall off within seconds, they don’t. I was taught this when learning to scuba dive. The principle is simple – if air gets in, so will water – and if air gets in, it will break the mild vacuum so they will fall off within seconds. There is no seal on the packet to break to open them and test to see if they fit (at least there wasn’t on mine, and there never has been on any goggles like this that I have ever bought including Aquasphere ones). It’s reassuring as it means that you can test them to see if they fit without going anywhere near water. The price at the time of writing is £17.36. The price should be lower in my opinion.

Goggles

These goggles come in a sturdy and slick plastic case. The eyepieces are triangular shaped, unlike the more regular oval shape, thus giving better coverage and ability to form a more comfortable seal with the skin. They are very easy to adjust. I have tried several new double strap goggles and they become unnecessarily complicated in comparison. These goggles just need a quick pull when pressing or butting or release. The seal with the silicone edge is strong when you put these on, after a little while feeling a little too strong. Be sure to place them correctly on the face to avoid feeling the pull of the inner edge of the lower eyelids, so making it uncomfortable. These are clear-lensed - good for pools indoors but not as convenient when outdoors in lots of sunshine. But mirrored lenses may not be so good for scuba diving so depends on what you want to use these for.

Love the edge gel

I think the addition of the edge gel around the glasses is hugely helpful in not only water proofing but also in making the goggles more comfortable too-excellent.

Nice Goggles

Excellent goggles. Our nephew was using these Seac Sonic, Swimming Goggles today in the local pool. He reported that they adjusted easily and were a good watertight fit. Lightweight and comfortable too. They didn't steam up at all and give great all round vision. He's really pleased and can't wait to use them later on in the year in the sea with his snorkel.
