I love the shoes but
They changed the style (again) but I got used to the feel of the new ones. I don’t like the new laces. They are too thin or too slippery such that almost every time they become unlaced soon after starting my walks. They also get tangled easily when removing my shoes. I had to replace the laces with some that were thicker/stayed tied and didn’t tangle so easily.

Solid street running shoe.
Not a long distance runner. 5k distances 3-4x per week. 200lbs Minimal upper construction but provides good stability and support. I’m a fan of Salomon shoes, second pair owned, this is the lightest pair. Good energy return, not really a minimal shoe in terms of sole/foot contact with road. Sale purchased price made it an outstanding value. My typical running shoe is Mizuno, Brooks, Salomon.

Innovation!
Very light and comfortable to jog in. In this pair there was a minor construction flaw: some of the tongue fabric was folded back and stitched in place, but I was able to cut it free without damaging the stitching. I have worn Salomon jogging shoes for... more than a decade. In each new pair that I buy it is clear that the company has come up with creative new approaches to problems, and it's alway fun to see how they wear down over time. In this pair, they have tried doing away with grommets for the laces (among many other innovations). I have worn several iterations of the draw-string laces... and in those shoes durability came down to material choice. Hopefully Salomon has learned from those iterations and this pair will last for a couple of years.

It's not a Trail Shoe
Right out of the box I used the shoe for various distances including a half marathon. I'm very happy with the purchase. Salomon is known for trail shoes but I've had good luck with their road shoes. I definitely recommend this shoe. For the record my mileage varies these days but I usually get in about 20-25 miles a week. I rotate about 4-5 different shoes for my runs. I hope this helps.

Rápidas y confortables
Son unas zapatillas muy clnfortables, livianas y muy rápidas excelentes para competir o para los días de series, las probé también por un camino de trail y han respondido muy bien, claro esta que el camino no era muy técnico y estaba seco. En asfalto tienen excelente agarre y tracción sin importar que el suelo se encuentre mojado.

Narrow fit
Length is true but this shoe, compared to all my other Salomon shoes, is quite narrow, so if you have wide feet then be wary of this one.
