Easy to Use on Buttercream Cake

This stencil is quite easy to use. I watched a tutorial on the Tube, and I was amazed at how nicely the stenciled image turned out. I frosted my cake with a smooth American buttercream (all butter--no shortening) and used the same frosting with the stencil. After applying buttercream to the cake, I placed it in the freezer for 15 mins to set and then followed directions to stencil on the map. I did the side of the cake first and then washed and dried the stencil to use it again on the top. I was pleased with how it turned out, and I am encouraged to try stenciling buttercream on buttercream again. The stencil is thin but sturdy. It is a great product.

I got it to work

I had trouble getting the stencil to lay flat while using. The stencil material is too thick use pens to hold it flat and that made it a little difficult to use. Nevertheless I was pleased with the end result.

Flimsy

A little flimsy, but worked alright. The smaller areas were a little too flimsy and it was tricky to frost over it without the smaller pieces moving.

Fairly good product but small

It works fine although a bit overpriced for what it is. The biggest problem was that it looks a lot larger then it actually is and the border portion takes up much more then the actual globe. The material is fine and overall works well.

Good quality but map small

Easy to use but stencil map is small you can’t use on a tall cake

Buttercream stencil - good quality

The media could not be loaded. Used it for a buttercream cake. It does have New Zealand on it but small but that didn’t bother me. I scraped the buttercream on and only took one attempt. To stop fly away edges you can wrap a piece of tulle around the cake and on top of the stencil and then buttercream scrap. Washed on dishwasher and came out perfect

This gave a great effect on the cake and was quite easy to use even though was my first time using one. Flexible product ,perfect for an 8” cake front and back
