Fun with the kids

My kids 6 and 2 love this game. Super easy to learn, I mean I taught my 2 year old. And it was a gateway game for my 6 year old for board games which we have moved onto dungeon crawlers games like karak. I owe this game

Great for the whole family!

We love this game. I was nervous about getting it because of the "Risk" association but my 4yo loves board games so we decided to give it a shot. We could not be happier. It's tons of fun and not complicated or long at all. I never could get through a game a normal Risk so I am not sure how well it tracks with the original. Each player has a little ship that does battle and the ship actually holds the dice. Flip a little do-dad and it throws the dice. The dice part alone has been the source of a lot of fun. With other games, half of the time is spent looking for where the dice ended up that my 4yo through but not with this one. It's easy to understand and does not take too long to play. A++

Fun, quick game, not much strategy involved

My almost 7 year old says he loves the game. My 4 year old tolerates it, picked up on the rules quickly enough. I was expecting there to be more strategy required of the players, and less luck. For me, it wasn't quite worth $14, because I prefer our games have educational value. That being said, I prefer Outfoxed.

Fun game for our almost 6 year old

The rules are simple and easy to learn, and our almost 6 year old enjoys playing a lot. The game goes quickly depending on how you play, which is great for parents to be able to control the length of the game somewhat. I saw some complaints about the ship and how you roll the die. We usually plays with 2-3 people, so use the 4th ship as the rolling ship. If you have 4 players you could use your own token to mark your spot on the map if you forget where you are. It hasn't been an issue for us yet. Overall, we are very pleased with the game.

Don't use the ships when it's time for battle...

Pretty fun. A little confusing for my two 7year olds (and at times for me), because you have to move your ship to show where you are on the board, but if someone lands on your island to battle you, you have to use your ship..because of the way you have to use your ship to roll the dice, you HAVE to move your ship in order to battle someone, even if its not your turn, so its easy to forget where your ship was originally supposed to be, before someone called you out for a battle. Also, if you get called out of your turn to battle someone and you WIN, its hard to remember that your ship stays PUT and you only add a token. Also, whatever island your ship HAPPENS to be on, you might accidentally take the treasure from THAT island, even though you are battling for a different island on someone else's turn. It was getting pretty messy...they really don't need to include the use of the ships during those face-offs cuz it gets pretty bad.. Next time we play, we won't use the ships for battling...we will just roll the dice with our hands so we don't have to keep moving the ships when its not our turn.

Great gift for a 6 year old

This is a nice gift for a 6 year old. It's a challenge and needs adults to join the game too.

So fun! I love this risk

We do family game night very often and on a regular basis. So this was a new game that we added to the mix Dad likes risk and we found junior risk and we thought hey let's try it. And actually it is super fun even as parents we are enjoying playing it with the kids. It is very easy to try and figure out and play and it's kind of fun that you can put the dice into the boat and then flip the die off the boat to roll. The only thing with that is my kids forget where their boat was because they always take the boat off and put it in front of them to flip it and then they kind of forget where they're at so it would be great if we just had boats designated for flipping and then we had our people to move around the board but whatever we make it work. And my 6-year-old and 4-year-old really enjoy playing this game with us and they get excited when it's game night and it's normally one of the first ones that we grab. Very very fun!

Buen juego para iniciar en el Risk

Quería que mi hijo empezara a jugar juegos de mesa un poco más elaborado, tengo el Risk normal pero es demasiado para él, así que quise empezar con esta versión infantil, está en inglés así que batallamos un poquito más pero como es muy fácil esta versión entonces tampoco es tan complicado entenderle.

Podria ser mejor

Es bueno en general, a mi hijo le gusta mucho la figura de los barcos y lanzar los datos, pero les falto trabajar mas la dinámica de las reglas, por que en realidad se termina haciendo un poco tedioso y largo si no te acaban de salir los números necesarios en los datos.

Demasiado Sencillo

Tan básico que es aburrido. La versión para adultos es excelente pero esta versión para pequeños la simplificaron tanto que no es entretenida. No requiere nada de estrategia, ni de pensar, es totalmente de azar. Lo hemos intentando jugar unas tres veces y siempre acabamos bostezando a pesar de que una partida dura unos 15 minutos aprox.
