Sturdy and cute!

This lantern is super cute and easy to charge. Just place it our in the sun for a few hours and you’re good to go. I only have two complaints. 1. This thing is super bright…a little too bright, depending on what you need. It would be great if there were two brightness settings, instead of just the one. 2. The battery doesn’t last too long. It never fails, my preschooler leaves it turned on, so we need to charge it everyday. It’s not the end of the world…except when I forget to charge it. Overall all, it’s cute and sturdy, but maybe just a bit expensive for what it is.

Durable, Educational, and Great for Imaginative Play

The Learning Resources solar lantern has been a constant part of my kids' play since we received it! It is extremely durable, and the light is very bright. My kids use it in their imaginary adventures (it inspired a story one day about exploring a cave and beating a monster), but also as a nightlight. We have to make sure to keep it charged (my daughter discovered she can charge it under a lamp in the house, but I try to find a sunny spot for it when it isn't being played with). I expect to take it with us for camping later in the summer. I definitely recommend this solar lantern if you have kids who can be a bit rough on their toys because it seems to be able to take a fair amount of abuse. Also, it is very cute and the perfect size for little hands!

It’s perfect for a nightlight and easy for a 3 year old to use including putting it in the sun to charge. Her fav gift by far !

We love this product

We love this product! I have a one (almost two) and a four year old. We got this to take camping with us. The kids loved it. The charge lasted all evening and the light was brighter than I had anticipated. Such a great product and knowing I don't need batteries because the kids always forget to turn things off was a win for us! It is extremely durable as well. Definitely recommend purchasing this product!

Great for kids!

I received this as a promotional item from brilliant minds, and I love it! It's soft glow is perfect for bedtime, playing in the dark, campouts, and much more. It looks like there are fireflies on the inside which is very cute. The handle is perfect for my 3 year old to carry it around, and he can easily operate the on/off switch himself. It is also solar powered so I don't have to deal with batteries!

Cute and works

At first I thought it might have been broken because the light flickered and died. I left it in the sun a lot longer and it worked great. My girls love it and the lights kind of look like constellations.

Price gouging alert

I would avoid this seller! The toy itself is fun but the real price is 19 bucks! The seller wants an $8 fee for a return now so they make their money regardless of whether I keep it or return it. Scam!

On/Off Switch Failure

Product is a neat design. I gravitated towards this product because it didn't require batteries. However, the switch failed a few weeks after purchase. Supplier did replace the item free of charge.

Super Disappointed!

My older daughter has a lantern that uses so many batteries, so I was extra excited to find this lantern to purchase for my other daughter. With high hopes and an excited little girl we charged it up. It worked good the first night, but ever since the first night it only stays on for about 2 seconds before shutting off again. We've tried to charge it, but nothing helps. It was a Xmas gift, so unfortunately no package or I would be returning this. What a waste of money. Super disappointed!

Es para niños exploradores y que les gustan los cuentos nocturnos. Me gustó que fuera de luz solar, que es otra enseñanza a los pequeños: el cuidado de los recursos y aprovechar la luz solar.
