A perfect duffel.

I like everything about this bag. It even has a little bag that can be used to store the big bag. It is just the right size to carry several 4 piece fly rods and other outdoor clothing. It is very sturdy, a real nice bag.

Pay attention to all the reviews with pics

You see all the reviews with pictures of the plastic buckles breaking? Yeah, pay those more attention than the others. IMMEDIATELY upon opening this bag up the plastic buckles shattered into multiple pieces when I went to undo the compression snaps. Not even 2 minutes out of my mailbox….. The rest of the bag seems nice enough, but it’s a decent product ruined by possibly the cheapest plastic buckles they could find. Disappointing to say the least, but I’d rather it happen at home than abroad. EDIT: contacted Eagle Creek for a warranty claim on the buckle. Initially they asked that I return the item to the vendor, which was a misunderstanding. They explained most customers want the item replaced, hence why that’s their first recommendation. I explained I only wanted them to mail out a replacement buckle and could easily repair the broken one at home without the hassle or waste of reshipping the bag. I provided them with a return address and they shipping a replacement buckle. Super easy, hassle free, process.

Good bag, handles a bit short

I bought this bag as a replacement for my old duffel on which the inside was crumbling. This bag seems sturdy and water resistant/repellant. My only complaint is the handles are just an inch or two too short. I like to have the option to toss the bag on my shoulder (for short shleps in the airport, etc.) by the handle without putting on the strap. I could do it on my old duffel, but not this one. The strap is also not the greatest. I'll use this for car trips, but am looking for a different bag for other trips.

Tough bag

Bought 3 of them for a family ski trip. Travel included airline and storing them on roof of vehicle to mountain. Airline beat them up but they showed zero effect. Driving through rain and snow to the mountain none of our items were wet upon arrival. We have 4 kids (2 in college and 2 in High School) and will convert all travel bags to Eagle Creek after this trip.

Perfect duffle bag

Purchased for an African Safari vacation. We were very limited in size, format (must be soft sided), and weight for small aircraft and helicopter flights in Africa. We’re able to use as carry-on on all flights, including long-haul and shorter flights. Simple, used packing cubes for organization, , holds a large amount, durable. These bags were perfect!

Perfect for carrying my scuba gear

I bought the bag to carry my scuba gear on dive trips. It's perfect for my needs: fits a pair of fins, BCD, Regulator, wetsuit, dive vest, boots, and still has some space left for other stuff, e.g. mask box (although I carry my mask in carry-on). The cinch straps make it easy to make things compact. The top zipper makes it perfect for easy loading and unloading of the gear. Haven't put it through the rigors of a few dive trips yet, but it looks rugged enough to last for years.

Shocked and angry it arrived broken!!!

I am a massive fan of these bags, this is actually my 9th Eagle Creek Xl No matter what bag and I'm pretty much an unofficial brand ambassador for this style. Had my other bags for years and they have circled the globe more than 20 times, and so far no issues and ZERO broken bits or tears (not for lack of opportunity). Opening up my new bag today and seeing a broken off prong from the closure strap is both disappointing and frustrating because I don't have enough time to return it before my flight in 3 days. Scrolling through the comments, I see I'm not the only one who had this issue. Please, go back to your old quality standards!

Great when you have a lot of stuff to bring

I’ve use these duffels to carry bedding to vacation rentals, to carry back tons of souvenirs from a trip to Japan, and to get my daughter to college. It’s great that when that duffel is empty it rolls up to its own carrying case. I’ve had one of these duffels for eight years and some of the black on the handles has been coming off probably because of the hot climate I am in. But the duffel itself is going strong.

Have three different sizes of these. Some of which I have had for many years and traveled extensively with. All still perfect and no sign of wear and tear. Best there is.

Decent bag

I use this to carry some of my dive gear and I work on the film industry so wished I went with a bag that had better protection at the base - I wish there was extra material at the base as I bought a large size and I worry over time it will not wear well. If you plan to store anything outside in a cool temperature the bag obviously doesn’t breathe well because it’s water resistant so thus any moisture inside sweats all on the inside of the bag - mold will be an issue depending on what you are storing in it so keep that in mind It’s also not 100 percent waterproof just resistant and for the price I wish I just went with something waterproof I give it 10:10 for looks - it’s easy to know which bag is mine and it stores a ton of stuff

Hervorragende Tasche

Hochwertige Tasche, die dazu ein enormes Volumen bietet. Ich nutze Sie für Reisen z.B. Super leichte Tasche

Hatte mir die Tasche für geschäftliche Reisen nach Asien angeschafft. Sie wiegt fast gar nichts daher kann mehr sehr viel mehr mitnehmen als bei herkömmlichen Koffer. Tragen ist allerdings fast unmöglich da sie nicht sehr formstabil ist.
