Matched the old one perfectly, small cast issue

Door handle looks to be an exact match to what we had before. The old handle we had outside key lock, this new handle had the casting marks for the key lock so I just drilled the holes through. 10 extra minutes to replace the handle but now I have my key lock still. The one thing that is different is the inside latch require more force to turn it vs the old one you could flip with a finger. Update there is a keeper washer on the back of the latch that I pried up just a little and that allowed the latch to move a little easier, manufacturer should probably not push it down so tight. I would purchase again. One other thing is the casting mark on the top of the inside handle is a little jagged and paint is a little thin over it. You can see it in my picture.

Fitting correctly

Living in FL. Everything breaks or rots. Or handle broke completely, I was so happy to get it replace so reasonably! And it fits prefect. Thank you!!

Nice But Not Sturdy

The handle set fits like a glove and looks nice. The only thing I'm worried about is the handle is thin and the locking mechanism seems flimsy! Nowhere near the handle it replaced for sturdiness!

THE REAL REVIEW. A COUPLE OF SMALL ISSUES

Great replacement for our "contractor" patio door handle. My wife wanted to replace the old handle that had a D handle on one side and the "nub" on the other side. I opted for this replacement with 2 handles. It was very easy to replace. I only have a couple of minor issues. First, the handle on the outside is great, but now the door does not go flush with the frame when it is fully opened. There is now a couple of inch gap between the door handle and the frame. The other issue, and I hope it will get better over time, the lock is difficult to lock and unlock. It is really stiff compared to our old one, but it locks fine, you just cant use a single finger and it slide like butter. Other then the 2 minor issues, it looks great and we like the 2 D handles.

Purchase this used

I love the design. However I purchased this handle from the used department of Amazon. The description said damaged package, minor scratches on the handle. I didn't receive the screws that are specific to a door handle on both sides. The description did NOT say missing hardware. I was able to find screws and am very pleased with the item itself. This is not the first time I've purchased from used. I don't think anyone checks the items returned. And holding the original buyer responsible. I don't recommend buying used items from Amazon

Exactly What I Wanted To Replace Outside Sliding Door Handle

I don't write a lot of reviews but decided I would on this because I was debating whether or not to buy this set of sliding door handles to give me a REAL handle for the outside on my door. All I had was what I consider solid door pull, not a HANDLE you can put your hand in on the outside of my slider. Typical of builder grade windows and doors. Since I had just replaced a sliding door at my previous house I knew that they do make handles that have a REAL handle on the inside and out. So I went looking for something to replace the outside solid pull that literally I could only get the tips of my fingers on. RRRRRR Another issue with the old one is that my current door is almost 8 ft tall and weighs a lot. At 62 pulling a hunk of door with a pull with only my finger tips made it hard to open and close from the outside. I measured and looked and looked at options on Amazon and decided this was the one I needed and boy did it deliver. I didn't buy it to replace both handles although I could have. It came with two different sets of screws. Ones to screw both handles in individually from each side and ones to have a female sided screw to come in from outside for the inside screw to screw into. Taking the place of the holes on the old exterior pull. Sorry if you don't know what I mean but if you have replaced one of these you'll know. I wish they would have put that in the description (that it came with two different sets of screws) because it would have made my decision faster. They show in the drawing of the handles but don't specifically say there are 2 sets of screws that can be used. Ok so I was able to replace the outside pull with the one of these handles, use the screws that went from the into to the outside female screw and they were a PERFECT fit. Took less than 10 minutes and I am so happy that is works and was so easy to do. I left the old inside handle and door latch lever because there was nothing wrong with them and although they don't match exactly in size and shape who cares. If it ain't broke don't fix it. So now I have an extra handle and door latch if I need one. My next chore on this door is to clean the tracks and put silicon on the top and bottom framing so it will slide easier....3 years old but the old owner did nothing to take care of it. I am sure this will not really help anyone thinking to buy this set of handles but I can say that if like mine you need to replace part or all of your handles the quality is great and the hardware needed for your door are here. Just measure the hole width, handle length and door thickness to make sure you get the correct one.

Fits Jeld wen slider

Fits the 1.5 inch slider with double jaw lock. Replaces 10 inch handle from factory. Might as well get this one instead of trying to source the factory thumb lock lever. Works like a charm.
