Works great and looks great

This sink stopper is beautiful and looks cool in my stainless steel sink, and matches my brushed gold faucet. It’s very cool to have mixed metals in kitchen or bathroom.

Good for about 5 months

This sink strainer replacement did work well but started to corrode and began falling apart in about 5 months. For the price though it was cheap enough to throw it away and purchase a new one.

Great quality. Better than expected.

Although a bit shinier than desired, this item is of good-quality material, fits well the sink for which I purchased it and I am entirely satisfied with the purchase.

Seems Well Made, Looks Nice, Doesn't Leak

I agonized over which sink strainer to purchase. None of them had a large percentage of 5 stars. Finally chose this one for my older standard sink drain. My old one wore out. The basket is made of nice looking brushed metal. I'm pretty sure the post underneath is plastic covered with some kind of metal looking coating. It fits well and doesn't leak...at least not yet. If have any problems arise within the next year or so, I'll come back and let you know. It's now the end of July 2017. If you don't see an edit in the next two years, you'll know it's still working just fine. If it fails after two years I'll consider that I got my money's worth.

Not enough flow

When I recieved this I found it restricted water flow so much that the sink would start to fill while I was washing my hands. I took it out to the shop and drilled all the side holes about 30% larger, deburred them, and now it works fine. This product is really only good if you have low water flow or a drill press.

PRETTY POLISHED BRASS STRAINER

I LOVE THE COLOR OF THIS STRAINER. IT WORKS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN ANOTHER BRAND OF STRAINER THAT I ORDERED BEFORE. MY ONLY REASON FOR 4 STARS IS THAT THE WATER GOES DOWN THE DRAIN ONLY IF I LEAVE IT A LITTLE ON AN ANGLE WHERE IT DOESN'T SIT FLUSH IN THE DRAIN OPENING. WHEN IT SITS FLUSH, WATER AND DEBRIS COLLECT IN THE SINK. YOU HAVE TO LIFT IT CAREFULLY TO LET OUT THE WATER WITHOUT LETTING THE DEBRIS FALL DOWN THE DRAIN.

Not Like The Original

The original drain/stopper had a movable center knob that could close the drain or open it, with the unit still in place. You can still buy one for >$40. This fixed-post strainer is just that - if you center it in the drain, you stopper it. To drain the sink, you must raise it slightly and tilt it to one side. For $7, I can accept the reduced function. YMMV.

Check your strainer stem before ordered

This product just seals the drain. It doesn't allow water to flow through. So for me it doesn't funtion as a strainer. The ones I am trying to replace have a kind of knob on the stem that fits into the drain to allow it to stay open until you push on it to close completely. These just fall straight down and completely close. I don't know if there are different designs. I thought sink strainers were all the same so may be my lack of strainer knowledge. But for those of you that aren't experts check your strainer. They were really pretty. I wish they would have worked. Still have my old ugly ones for now.

Seem to be having problems finding the proper sink plugs...

This is my second time ordering sink plugs on Amazon and it still is unsatisfactory. Can't wait until the hardware stores are open. Both sink P trap pipes are eroding and so I'm trying to dry them out. However, these plugs kept leaking water into the pipes so I had to stop using the sink all together. Usually you know when the plug is 'set' when you twist it and it makes a snapping noise. These don't do that and so that is probably why they aren't as effective as others. In addition, I waited a month and a half for these to come in even though they were supposedly through prime. Don't know what I'm paying for. Might as well have just ordered new pipes!

Beautiful but not a universal fit

Beautiful and solid but I did not realize that it was not universal fit, the insert was too large gave it to my son
