Disappointed it is plastic

I was happy to be able to buy the Solo Tilt separately….I had only seen it in a set with a Pfister faucet at the big box stores. It is really great to be able to use one hand to dispense (and you, can still do it the two-handed way, so it is really kind of hybrid). But, I was disappointed that the whole thing is plastic. It does match my matte black faucet and water dispenser from another brand, but, bummer it is plastic.

Ease of use, good design

Pricey compared to others. The best feature is how it tilts forward rather than having to push down. This makes it worthwhile.

Looks Good But Cheaply Made…Nice Tilt Feature

I ordered this ‘Pfister SoloTilt Transitional Round Soap Dispenser’ to use on my kitchen sink. I wanted to reduce the clutter on it by getting rid of the freestanding dispenser I had, so I ordered this built-in one. I’m very surprised that this ‘Pfister SoloTilt Transitional Round Soap Dispenser’ is made totally of plastic. I was expecting the pumper to be metal as the last one I had was. I get the feeling that this soap dispenser won’t hold up. The ‘Pfister SoloTilt Transitional Round Soap Dispenser’ looks very nice as you can see in the pictures. Installation was very easy…my wife actually did it while I was at work. It took her all of ten minutes to complete. Besides, she’s smaller than me an can fit under the sink easier. The soap dispenser works as expected. It pumps too much soap in my op, and there’s no way to adjust it. I really do like that you can dispense soap either by pushing the whole pumper down or just tilting it forward. That’s a nice feature. All in all, aside from the cheap feel of this ‘Pfister SoloTilt Transitional Round Soap Dispenser’, I do like it. It works well…looks good…and reduced the clutter on my kitchen sink.

Simple counter mount soap dispenser

This is a pump action dispenser meant to be mounted in a sink faucet sized pre-drilled hole. It is lightweight metal with plastic bottle and mechanism and is similar to the one I want to replace. Anyone who has one of these knows that it isn't a great solution to your kitchen liquid soap needs. The undercounter bottle is dismally small and difficult to get at. If you try to fill it from the top, you wind up with a soapy mess on your countertop and the bottle half full because the soap is viscous and as the air bubbles out, the soap is discharged as well. This item is not particularly suited to restoring my faith in the genre--it is serviceable for sure and Pfister is a good name in plumbing products. BUt the design flaws inherent in all of these types of dispensers outweigh any real benefit in my opinion.

Nice upgrade for not a lot of money.

Easy to install - a nice beefy and stylish upgrade for us. The pump mechanism is robust, easily pulling soap from the supplied plastic jar but should also have enough oomph to move it a bit farther should you decide to couple it with one of the many extension tube kits available.

A stylish modern soap dispenser

I ordered this to match a new Pfister bathroom faucet. We've found having soap dispensers to be beneficial and much more convenient and sanitary than having bars of soap in a dish. This dispenser is unique in that it works by either pumping, as most do, or by tilting the head towards you, which is interesting. I haven't yet decided if I like the tilt pump action better, but it has both, so it is not a concern. Installation is very simple, as is typical of these under mount style dispensers, there is a threaded body that secures both the pump head and the soap bottle to the counter. To install you just put the threaded body through the hole in your counter and install and tighten the large plastic nut. The nut has tabs, so no tools are required for installation. The bottle holds a good amount of soap and the dispenser pumps it out with no problems. The head has a stylish, modern design with simple clean lines. The brushed nickel finish was flawless on the unit we received. That is about it - so far this has performed as expected. It is still new and located in a guest bathroom, so I can't comment on long-term durability yet. So far, we are pleased with the dispenser, it looks great and blends harmoniously with our new faucet.

Built Like A Fire Plug

This spot resistant, stainless steel soap dispenser is a stout and solid kitchen accessory everyone needs. It takes about five minutes to install this stubby gem (which also happens to be my wife’s nickname btw), or ten if you need to drill a 1-3/8” hole in the countertop. It has a feature that allows you to operate it with one finger if need be, and that’s a big help when your hands are full of things you’re trying to sort out and clean. I often find myself trying to hold things and wash them at the same time. It’s a little bit on the pricey side for a soap dispenser, but the cheaper ones I usually buy don’t have the suction power to let me use a one gallon bottle of soap and a two or three foot long hose extension kit because I only like to fill my soap dispensers once a year. This one has adequate suction strength to pull soap through a hose (I can make another joke about my wife here, but I think I’ll leave that up to you). Pfister has been in business over 100 years, so you know the quality is gonna be in all the fixtures they make. Take my word for it that this dispenser is also a safe bet. You do get what you pay for.

Great replacement for an older soap dispenser

This Pfister SoloTilt Transitional Round Soap Dispenser for Kitchen Sink Counter arrived well packaged and in good condition. It appears to be well made of good quality materials. Our old dispenser stopped working a while back, so I ordered this as a replacement. The stainless-steel look finish on this dispenser closely matches our sink. The finish is called spot defense stainless steel, so I'm guessing that it is supposed to resist water spots somehow. The dispenser itself is not stainless steel, but plastic with a faux stainless-steel finish. The has a forward tilting pump head that lets you dispense soap by pressing down on the front of it. That feature does come in handy sometimes if you need to hold something and put soap in at the same time. Overall, this is a great soap dispenser from a well-known, high-quality brand. We love it.
