Bait and Switch

BUYER BEWARE: The item pictured is from Petmate and has a white breakaway buckle on it labeled The Safety Collar. I have had several of them for my cat in the past and they work great, but our local Petco no longer carries them. The item I received is totally different. Different manufacturer, AspenPet, and different, useless clasp. Fortunately, Amazon processed my refund quickly. Do not buy if you want the item in the picture.

not the same as pictured item

The collar was not the same as the one pictured. The break away feature on the collar that was sent is so loose that cat can basically take the collar off!

$4000.00 Mistake! Do NOT buy!

Picked up this brand of collar a few years ago for my cat. I wanted to get one that was 'breakaway' for his safety. My cat did get out once and lost for a few months. When he returned, the collar had gotten caught and had NOT broken away. It stayed on even as he forced his front forearm through it. Wearing it like that for the few months he was lost, it tore into his skin and embedded into his flesh. Once he made it home, the surgery to fix the wound cost us $3800.00 not to mention costs of vet visits. DO NOT buy this collar for your cat.
