Watch before committing

This end table looks nice overall and (bonus!) arrives fully assembled. There are two things, though, that aren't so great. The first is that the tabletop is fairly easy to accidentally lift off or knock off the rest of the piece. This is a design flaw. The other problem, which may be specific to my individual piece, is that the edges of the tabletop have abrasion marks. Somebody who is very detail oriented might be upset by the imperfect appearance. I'm not too concerned about either of these things because I stumbled onto a substantial reduction (that's why I say to watch this item for a few days before ordering) and the table is placed in a kitchen where everything gets banged up anyway. But if I hadn't found the big $ cut, I would have returned this end table. So three stars. If the tabletop was more securely attached, I could justify a four star rating. ---------- Update (April 2022): no problems to report.

Not too Shabby

The nightstands (I purchased a set of 2) were very well packaged and arrived on time. I only gave them 3 stars due to workmanship. The wood wasn't fitted together properly in numerous areas, but still looks nice. The color is beautiful (cherry) and if your bed is very tall, like mine, this nighstand is a perfect height. I like the 2 shelves and the roomy top drawer - everything fits perfectly.

came as advertised. taller than I had thought. came prebuilt. pulled it straight up and out of the box. no damages noted. drawer is unnoticeable uneven. exactly what I wanted. clawed cat owners beware of the paper sidings.

too bad

Great design. A bit cheap on drawer backing. Big problem is the red dye powders off in the drawer and gets on everything. Actually had to line the inside of it with contact paper. Would not put anything of value in it. Glad I have it because could find no other with this design but really not worth the price if you can find anything else.

Spend your money on something else, seriously.

I'm not going to lie, I was really excited when I found this item on amazon. I placed my order and waited in anticipatement for it to arrive. When it finally did, I opened the box to find a stapled shoddy piece of crap. The outside of the nightstand was fine, except for the fact the thing couldn't stand evenly. I had to put tape on the bottom to keep it from rocking. When I tried to slide in the actual drawer, the wooden inserts holding it broke off because they were stapled to the inside of the nightstand. Thats right, they were stapled. The guys at Ace Hardware told me it would be impossible to staple the pieces back into the nightstand because of the angle and risk of the staples ruining the nightstand. So I had to go and buy woodglue and line up the pieces and glue them back in place so they could hold the drawer. All in all, for the amount of money and time spent in putting this thing back together, I would honestly say spend your money on something else. I'm not trying to be negative nancy here, but seriously you can do a lot better.
