This mower starter went right on my Cub Cadet. Hooked up wire & bingo....back to a quick start. My old one made 11 years of abuse. Hope to get that out of this one. Seems very well made. Recommend fer sher...

Lasted 4 years, we'll see how long the second one lasts.

Bought one of these four years ago. Worked fine until the shaft for the drive gear snapped off. Not a bad value for the money but really did expect it to last longer. Not unhappy just bought another to replace the first one.

So HAPPY I finally bought this Starter for my Kohler 25HP Cub Cadet Tractor

Years ago I bought a starter for my 1983 Goldwing from DB Electric . I was impressed with the value of the starter and how well it worked . Initially I thought it didn't , Because the Head Gasket was leaking AntiFreeze and HydroLocking the motor , The same reason the original starter burned up was destined to happen to my new one . Once I figured out the problem , The DB electric Starter turns my Goldwing over like a champ to this day . Now when my Cub Cadet LT1050 25 horse Kohler Garden Tractor was acting up , I was excited to see that DB electric had a starter available . Now , This Tractor has NEVER started what I would call EASY ..Even when it was NEW , It always seems to struggle . I even took it in a couple years ago and had the Valves adjusted , which helped Minimally , Still would clunk , click , then eventually it would work . Last Month I bought a NEW battery hoping the weakness was the Battery . Nope .. SO my last resort was a NEW starter . I received it in a timely manner , Installation takes a few minutes , And LET me tell you this , That Kohler motor starts the second I touch the key . I have NEVER heard that motor start like that EVER . Its gotta be faster than the OEM starter , or at least way more powerful and quieter , But the real test was when I went to start the Motor after it was HOT , and this Starter passed the test with flying colors . Do not hesitate to replace your WEAK starter motor with this one . I know I've got a few years on my DB Electric Goldwing Starter , and I hope this one is built as good as that . It appears to be built Heavy Duty . If it doesn't last , I will update . But for now I give this starter a 5 star rating !

Worth the buy ! Cub cadet lt1050 approved

This worked just as good as the original on my cub cadet lt1050 riding mower. Seems to be an exact model ,still works great to this day starts every time ,now the black plastic piece you see on the top did come off after a couple cranks and had to cut it out but that may have been my fault and needed to come off before I installed other than that it's worth the money

Works perfectly on my Sears Craftsman Lawn Tractor PGT 9000, and better price than most places online, and free shipping! Starts the lawn tractor more easily than the original starter, basically looks slightly beefier than the original part. Hopefully this will be my last starter for the lifespan of the lawn tractor!

Perfect Fit. Works Great.

It is an exact replacement. It has worked perfectly over the last few weeks with over a hundred starts as I have been using the garden tractor as a utility vehicle to tow a small trailer to move stuff around my acreage with many short runs rather than running it for two or three hours on one start when I cut the grass. It is much quieter than the original starter in which the rubber damper had completely failed, followed by the shaft eventually breaking. The biggest bonus was the fact that I got the replacement same-day (on a Sunday). I needed the tractor Monday morning to help with a landscaping project I was in the middle of.

Happy So Far!

I purchased one unit and it once spun and engaged the flywheel. Any attempts after that it just turned but did not engage the flywheel. I returned with very little effort on my part. The second one spun and engaged but did not roll the engine over. These starters have a weird clutch to prevent the engine from overpowering the starter as the engine starts. These clutches are the worst part of these starters but they are what they are. After letting the starter cool, I tried again and it has worked flawlessly ever since. When these clutches I previously mentioned are new, they need to break in. Now that that has happened I’m pretty confident it will now work as required. I recommend taking the chance and buying one of these starters. Retuning a defective product is easy and the delivery of a replacement is extremely fast. Highly recommend the company selling these starters.

The right part at a great price.

I was given a Husquvarna lawn tractor (22HP Kohler) without a cutting deck. The previous owner did not want to try and fix it as it had been sitting for 2 years . It needed a starter, starting solenoid, ignition switch, air & oil filters and battery. All parts purchased from Amazon. The total cost to repair was about $300. I later purchased tire chains ($40) from Amazon warehouse (cheaper than Amazon regular). Now I have a tractor to pull my yard and garden trailers, as well as my wood chipper and wood splitter. I did not want the cutting deck anyway (too many safety interlock switches).
