Good design

OXO makes good sturdy kitchen tools. Stainless steel masher won't rust in the dishwasher. A basic design does the job well.

Works well and easy to clean - no extra fancy bits for food to get stuck on, and very sturdy

Really a well made tool

I didn't think this would be anything special but it's great! I have arthritis in my hands and the handle is easy for me to hold while smashing beans or potatoes. The thickness of the metal masher helps me mash more food quickly and it's easy to wash. I put it in the top rack of this dishwasher and so far so good.

Best way to mash potatoes

Had been using a hand mixer to make mashed potatoes until I saw a segment on the Food Network about using this masher. It makes the potatoes so much fluffier!!

Standard but does the job

I like this and compared to another branded but standard masher, this works well and easier to clean I have tried another and I prefer that one, but if i pick this up and use it, I have no complaints as it does the job well

Great for arthritis!

I have a cervical spine and shoulder injury and this potato masher makes the job so much easier than my cheap, flimsy one I had prior. Has a nice thick handle, which is appreciated if you have sensitivities in your hands. Made so well I don’t anticipate having to buy myself another— but plan to purchase for my mother and grandmother for mother’s day (we are functional gift sort of people haha).
