Bigger than they look, heavy duty hooks

These are much larger than I thought they would be and are significantly bigger than their smaller cousins that can be found at the Big Box store. I used them to hold open large, heavy Dutch doors on my horse stalls that are subjected to high winds and nasty weather and for that application they are perfect. A bit industrial looking, but well made. Does not come with screws but #8 1 5/8” stainless did the trick. These aren’t going anywhere.

Needed a way to allow the basement door to be open a bit to allow our cat downstairs, but not allow our 10 month old son to open any further and fall down the stairs! Maybe a little redneck, but we couldn't find a baby gate that was strong enough.

Wish I had bought more at lrecently lower price!

The quality is good and the new price still offers value for the $ I will use mine as Bermuda shutter hooks and save money over the cast iron offerings. Note they are zinc plated steel and made in China. They are well-made and heavy duty hooks with a safety latch. See at rear top of hook.

Huge

The hook part is huge. Don't know why it has to be so big. I just wanted a longer, normal hook. This looks like something from a cartoon.

Great piece of hardware

Great piece of hardware. It looked monstrous but is sturdy, fits perfectly on the inside of our barn doors, easy to use and gives a great sense of security.
