As expected

Good value fishing line

I used this fishing line to hang up glass crystals in my window. They are holding up well, and depending on the sky I can barely see the line, and even then I only notice it when I am looking for it. I recommend!

Different brand, overall good for my purposes

A good sized roll, I have no idea if it’s good quality since I’m using it for a costume and not fishing lol, all I can Is that it’s from a different brand and it came a bit battered but I’ll blame it on the shipping.

Basic but strong

It's fishing line. It won't toast your bread, but it does what you can expect it to, and it does it REALLY well for the price. This is my go-to test line, and I never really feel the need to go spend a ton of money on line because this stuff holds up really well. Common issues with cheap line are structural irregularities, twisty line, or thin spots but I haven't noticed any of that so far! Good line, great value.

Great for a party!

I bought this for a party for lots of hanging. This was easy to tie knots in and work with. Right off the spool! (I saw some other products where people said the twine would tie well if you dipped in warm water! Yeah, who has time for that?!) Highly recommended!

My first and last purchase of South Bend Mono for Lure fishing

I want to say the one pro about this line is the price, but the quality is poor so it is hard to even say that. I figured for the price it was a low risk purchase to find out if it could be a usable cheap back up line for some of my rods. It is usable but I went fishing with this once and when I got home I stripped it off my reel. Right out of the box just by feeling this line I could feel it was crap. Now mind you I fish with lures. Using live bate where you are just leaving the line alone after casting it could be an option. For lure fishing this stuff was nothing short of awful. Some of the issues I encountered was this line tangles extremely easily. It does not seem to go onto the spool smoothly when retrieving the line and it is only a matter of time before you have tangles. And speaking of retrieving the line, it does not retrieve smoothly at all. By that I mean it does not " feel smooth " either The line itself almost seems to want to bunch up on you rather then stay straight and stiff. And the feel of the line itself is lifeless. it has no life to it. I tied on some lures and gave a tug and the line broke at times when doing that so the strength is questionable as well. Last is the casting ability of this line. You can get some distance but I can get significantly more distance with higher quality line and it is a heck of a lot smoother. In fact it is night and day. I won't be using this stuff again. I fish regularly and I take fishing seriously. I can't use a line that performs this poorly.
