Incredibly well packed. Perfect and ready to go on arrival.

I am a man of many words, so I have to try be brief, because I might go on for many paragraphs. This is an extraordinary set of fireplace tools. The design and construction could not be better. There is nothing cheap about them. They are heavy. Each tool, and the stand are one piece, not put together. Everything is thought out. There is a great respect for space. Using it intelligently and not hogging a ton of it as so many other sets of fireplace tools do. At this price point, you find - 'garish, showy, unattractive.' You find just the opposite with these. I grew up in a home with many fireplaces with great fireplace dogs and tools and screens that were wizened old antiques. And these please me. Because they are discrete. They do the job so well and do not pretend and call attention to themselves. Look at my compact fireplace in the picture. These tools fit it to a tee. There is a very heavy base that stands these tools in place firmly. Buy this set and you will not be disappointed. Medium to medium small to small fireplace.

Finally Found the Perfect Set

I had read so many reviews on fireplace tool sets that my eyes were nearly bleeding. Most complaints were about items being too lightweight, stands toppling over when one tool was removed, welding done poorly, screws sticking out. Finally I decided to put my trust elsewhere - Reddit. Someone mentioned this MinuteMan International company by name, saying they were known for making quality tools. I saw this set was on sale for slightly more than the majority of what I was seeing. I nabbed it immediately. It arrived packaged so, so well. While it did include styrofoam, I’d rather it be that than it loose in the box getting damaged. Environmental issues aside, they clearly know how to get the item to the customer without it getting dinged up. It’s heavy and sturdy. I took off each item one at a time to see if the stand would fall over. It remained standing - no wobbling. The pieces are forged beautifully. Heavy in hand and sturdy, with no visible weld points. I’m SO glad I found this on sale because it is clearly a really well-made set.

Impressed

Great quality. Super sturdy, but on the heavy side. My only complaint is that they don't hang on the stand very securely. If bumped, some of the tools can easily fall (which freaks our dog out). But over all very happy with these and I expect they will last us a lifetime.

Using it outdoors

Using it with our outdoor fireplace and it hasn’t been a whole season yet but it seems very sturdy and looks like it will last.

Disappointed

This set is exactly as pictured and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the brush. We have used it twice and the bristles are already frayed and bent. Disappointed.

nice weight and good quality

I looked at cheaper sets at Home Depot and Lowes and they were heavy and bulky. This set is medium weight; not too heavy and not to light. I thought they were very well made. They don't take up a lot of space so they are good if your fireplace area is small.
