My previous seat lasted for years, and this one looks to be identical!

This seat is like the last one I bought around 9 or 10 years ago. The old one just now developed a 1 inch split in the vinyl on the top of the seat at the front end. Otherwise, it's very study and a great value. Other brands usually last only 2 or 3 years. The unlocking hinge anchors make this seat much easier to keep clean as well. I also like the new nylon bolts that crush down when tightened so they're firmly centered in the mounting holes on the toilet. My one complaint is the nylon nuts provided with this seat. They require a wrench to tighten. Mayfair should go back to using the nuts with the finger tab that sticks out on one side. That tab braces against the toilet bowl so you can tighten & loosen the bolts easily. A wide-blade screwdriver is the only tool you need.

Only 1 thing I don't like but I would buy again

You must turn the cover over to lock in place on each screw (2 screws on toilet that hold seat on). You can't seem to get them all the way locked in place even with pliers.. so in time from movement on the toilet seat one side will lift off and you must try to get it locked in place again but I can only get it 3/4 locked in so this keeps occurring. The padded seat is comfortable, not hard and doesn't rip or Crack.. very durable. This is my 2nd seat in about 10 yrs.. so they last a really long time. I've had this seat I want to say a yr . So the other latest about 9 yrs ..I think that's correct.

Easy replacement for Church quick release toilet seat

My house came with some basic Church, wooden, elongated, quick release toilet seats. This seat fit the existing Church hardware already in the toilet base. I'll keep the included hardware as backup. Fit is perfect along the sides and is less than 1/4 inch overhang at the peak of the oval. Sturdiness will depend on the test of time. Padded seats never last as long as the non-padded kind. I'll update if the fall apart unexpectedly.

A good option.

This accessory is not the cheapest, but it is worth it. I used this item to replace one that "looked similar" but was terrible and from a " big box" store. This unit is built with SUPERB QUALITY and once you tighten it down per the instructions, it will not move. The cushioning is also great. I would highly recommend this product.

Pleased the wife's derriere

This seat seems well made - much better than the last one bought at a 'big box store'. It takes a bit of fiddling/prying to get the covers open to install the nylon fasteners but other than that minor fuss, everything seems to fit properly. We'll see how long the soft cover lasts. Where is this seat made - hopefully the USA?

Best padded seat out there

I have been using this brand for several years now, you do have to replace them after a year or so (which is 3x as long as you get out of a cheaper padded toilet seat) my first one lasted almost 2 years but my partner is 250lbs so now they last about a year. This is the updated hinge which is great I like this design better and it seems more durable. If you don’t like cold seats or have a lack of padding when you sit like me these are the best you can get! Worth the cost for sure and despite my cats best attempts they have never split or torn on me!

Annual purchase

I have been purchasing this seat for years. Great quality, solid and not flimsy as the soft cardboard seats. Replace annually as I get a small tear by that time.
