Good for beginning lock pick

Great for the beginning lock pick as this has only three tumblers. My 12-year-old girl was able to pick it in about an hour to get to her next set of Christmas presents. As such, you might want to think twice about using this for security.

Perfect for the Beginning Lock Picker

I purchased this lock for the purpose of improving my lock picking skills. There are only four pins to defeat to open the lock. Almost immediately I got a feel for how to rake the lock open. Raking will pop the lock within 30 seconds, most of the time. I'm still practicing single pin picking on this lock but that's increasingly easier. I would highly recommend this lock to anyone who is in their beginning stages of learning to pick locks. It's a sturdy mechanism so you will not wreck the lock with aggressive raking. You will master opening these locks in a short time, but you will learn some fundamental skills in the process.

Good for a Gym Locker, but nothing else.

First off let me say that this is a very cheap and low security lock. I bought it to practice lockpicking and it is by far the easiest lock to pick I have ever come across. It is a good cheap lock for gym lockers and things of that nature, but do not rely on this to protect any valuables.

good starter lock not really made for high security but to say dont touch

very easy to pick love it amazon ran out of the original blue bumper ones but no.3 is what it said so i bought it and it is a no.3 blue with a red bumper so its perfect. if you are buying this for security purposes and want to keep someone out its more of a please dont remove lock type of security but for the average person who doesn't know how to pick a lock its good.

It only came with one key. Why? I have purchased many locks, they always come with 2 keys.

It's great for that

I give this a three star rating, because I bought it to practice lock picking on. It's great for that. If you are looking for a lock to secure things, look elsewhere. This thing is very easy to pick. At best, this should be used to tag and lock out machinery for maintenance and repair. Otherwise, I can't think of a use for it.

Standard no-frills lock

Classic design, 2 keys included. It has a smooth action when the key is put in, as opposed to other cheaper locks that have a "gritty" feel. Keyed locks are nice so you don't have to remember a combination, and the banded design helps prevent drilling or shooting through the lock.

Did not come with a key!

brought a padlock for the shed and it doesn't come with a key! what's the point in this do i need to by a lockpick set to use it. absolutely ridiculous

Strong but not secure

The Master Lock No3 is a strong low security lock but it is not a secure lock. I did not buy this to secure anything. I just like locks. I only received one key with my order.

Meh

It's a little smaller than expected. I bought it to practice lock picking and opened it within a few minutes, so I guess it kinda sucks as a lock. Good for practice though.

Won't protect anything from anybody who knows literally anything about lock picking

I literally got this lock to practice my absolutely novice skills in lock picking and it was still too easy to get open
