Easy to apply
Product was easy to apply. You can do it by yourself. The only thing I didn’t like is that it doesn’t last long. Even after cleaning and prepping the area, the tape eventually comes off after about a month and has to be reapplied. It does keep the cold air from coming in through the window though

Better than other brands
Another brand that is in most big box stores ripped in several places on several windows within a few days. This product is great. I looked at the plastic on an angle and used a hair dryer until the plastic got clear. I did not have the fogginess that others described. Try looking at the plastic at different angles while using a hair dryer. This worked the best for me when I had natural light coming through the windows.

Need more than a hair dryer
The product is self explanatory; however, it seemed to require some finesse to get it fitted on the window properly to be able to tighten with heat. A normal hair dryer did not seem to do the trick on this extra-strength film.

Cloudy film
Film is noticeably cloudier than the single thickness stuff I still had around. It would have helped to illustrate on the package how the film is wound on the roll, that way I wouldn't have had to unwind the entire roll to see which way the dimensions went, I could have just snipped the end off of the roll and left the rest rolled up. Instead I have to unroll unfold everything making a large mess in the process forcing me to wrap another window immediately after this one when I might now have been ready for that.

Not only for windows
If you are trying to figure out what windows film to use to make a tent footprint. This is the stuff. It is tough, light and water proof under your backpacking tent. If you happen to tear it, just use to some packing tape to fix it. It is best for forest camping, get the house wrap Tyvek if you are camping in rocky areas. The plus for this stuff is it is waterproof and will keep the bathtub of your tent dry.

Super Easy
Easy to instal. A blow dryer didn't work needed a heat gun to shrink the plastic. Seal and stick very well!

Worth it to Buy !
Easy enough to install & works really good to keep out the cold breezes. Have to wait till early Spring to remove it , then use a solvent to remove the residue glue strip. If and as I might remember, I'll report back. Good enough to look to ordered more.

buy this one.... Trust me
Installed in basement, located in Ontario Canada. Current temp is -8c 1. I just installed this today and not sure how much of a difference it will make. It does feel warmer. 2. Product feels like good quality and install was relatively easy. 4/10. 3. Make sure you have a hair dryer or heat gun handy. Tape did not stick on surface when it was cold. Heated surface, then stuck it, then slightly heated up tape and pressed it firmly, pulled off top layer and slightly heated it again before I put up plastic. Overkill?? Maybe. But she's a stickin'

Scotch tape is very weak
Product looks nice day one but just needs a bit of thermal excursion overnight and the scotch tape can’t handle it and the whole work you spent one hour on comes apart. I like the idea. But without a strong scotch it doesn’t work. Also the plastic cover had quite a few scratches in it which self created during placement and didn’t go away. Finally it’s very very tricky to take off the second layer off the scotch tape because the tape is so thin. Let’s see how much this lasts. I fear tomorrow I’ll find it all floppy again hanging from the window

One giant piece
Worked great Holding good weeks up, be aware it is one large sheet of plastic So get help with fitting and cutting It was a bit of a struggle on my own I have very old large windows it was enough to do two, left over not enough But I'm happy Would buy again

Llevo 3 años comprando en épocas invernales este producto. Casa año lo coloco mejor, ya que tiene su chiste. En cuanto a aislante de frío es buenísimo, claro, no esperen que no haya frío en sus habitaciones. Simplemente disminuye el frío. En mi caso un 50%.

Helps with drafty windows.
Did two windows. The process is straightforward, I just need to practice to figure out the tension. Once on it is 80% clear compare to before. Does stop wind blowing in. Where the plastic was folded, there is a permanent mark I cannot get rid of.
