Bra extenders

I have gained weight this year unfortunately, and instead of my boobs growing bigger in the cup area like I'd prefer... the width measurements have decided to get wider. I wear push-up bras but I've been dealing with the armpit and back fat appearing over the band of my bra. I didn't really want to go out and purchase new bras because I'm hoping to lose weight before the year is over. I came across these and figured I'd give them a chance and that maybe they'd help take away the problems that I've become so embarrassed with, where I had stopped wearing tight shirts this Summer. I see bras in stores claiming to hide back fat, bras claiming to hide side fat, bras claiming to make you look 2 cups bigger.... but yet, not one that does all three. Lol. So I wanted to use this on my favorite push up bras in hopes they'd make the bra even better. So far, so good. It's not a completely 100% perfect fit on my bra. There's a smidge of my bra material that's wider than this but the hooks work well. I haven't been embarrassed lately when I go out, and have went back to wearing tighter shirts at times. I don't find myself constantly feeling the need to look at my back in the mirror of a public restroom and sigh at the overlapping fat over my bra band, because this is helping to make that not appear as bad. You receive 3. Black, beige and white. The main one I use is black. I wish they made a 3 pack of black ones! I did a lot of searching for what I had hoped would fit my bra best... some online looked like they'd fit but i just wasn't sure. Maidenform is a brand I trust and knowing they have free returns, I figured it was best to try these out and in case somehow they didn't fit, I'd be able to send back. I can recommend these. They don't work wonders but they do help. Hopefully, I will lose weight and won't need these for too long but right now, I'm relieved they're helping and that I didn't have to spend money on new bras. Hopefully, my photos with the measuring tape will be helpful. :)

Genius!

I don't know how these compare to other bra extenders. I imagine they're pretty much all the same. I will say, as a general product, these little guys are genius. I feel like the price I paid for this three-pack was very reasonable. I've been lifting heavy weights for years, and have gotten to where my shoulders and lats have gotten bigger, but the "girls" have stayed their same, petite size. This means I'm now a 38A. That's a bra size that pretty much doesn't exist, at least not at a reasonable price. Many people claim they wouldn't bother with a bra if they were an A cup. Let me tell you that you probably would. You're not going high-end, though, that's for sure! These bra extenders make it possible for me to create my own bra size out of reasonably-priced (OK, cheap, from Target) bras. DO make sure you MEASURE from hook to hook on your existing bras and get the right size extender. I was very close to ordering the wrong size!

Perfect width for Maidenform bras

I recently ordered some Maidenform bras online that were slightly too small in the band. These bra extenders are the exact hook width as the Maidenform bras. They seem well made, though note that these are not the kind with stretchy elastic. It gives about .75" to 2" extra room, depending on which hooks ate selected.

I guess I had purchased the wrong size bras so I bought these extenders rather than purchasing new bras. They make my bras much more comfortable and were an affordable alternative to purchasing new bras. I use them with t shirt bras from Gap Body. Note that they make the shoulder straps of your bra move off center of your shoulders (further from your neck). For me this is fine and I do not have problems with the bra straps falling off my shoulders but I think that might be possible. I wash them with my bras in a delicates bag and I have not had them fall off during the wash cycle. Obviously your bra would look better if it fit right in the first place but these are good to save some money.

Saved my expensive bras!

Recently bought a couple of bras from VS which are a bit pricey but I was treating myself since I had never been fitted and never really invested in a good bra before. The bras I got were great, but a bit tight in the band (I was fitted as a 34 when I've buying 36 my whole life). So, maybe I was just accustomed to baggy bras, but the 34's were kinda killing me! I didn't want to give up my nice, new bras and these extenders were the perfect solution (I think I'm really a 35). Definitely worth it, just order carefully as I've seen other reviews from people disappointed when the extender didn't work with their particular bra (I can tell you these work with Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria).

Finally!

For those who have never bought bra extenders: The "1/2 inch spacing" refers to the distance between hooks, and not how wide the extender is. I used a ruler to learn that I had bras of 1/2 spacing and 3/4 inch spacing. I love this product! Ever since I had kids, my bra size has changed, and I've been struggling for years to find a size that fits. Yes, I've been fitted for size, and measured and re measured. I seem to be an odd size, that doesn't really exist. These bra extenders are little miracles. I'm so happy that I can buy bras anywhere now, because these extenders will do the trick and make them fit me. Yay!

Hope that makes sense... At victoria secret the sell these for $16 that comes with two black and two nude. The only reason I didn't get them was because they were 3/4 or 1 inch extender, but the bra I needed it for was 1/2" between the hooks. So I am glad I checked amazon! Because they fit perfectly for what I needed.

Just what i was looking for!

As I do most of my shopping online these days, I found my recent purchase of several bras were a little off (too tight but the cup fitting perfecting). Instead of buying another set of bras, I thought I would try bra extenders and these did wonders for the fit. It worked so well, I had to buy a second set for my mother. Make sure you pay attention to measurements on the extenders so you don't buy the wrong ones: ie number of hooks, distance between the hooks etc. Highly recommend this set.

Bra back extender

This bra extender is a bit narrower than my two-hook bra but it still worked okay. Extends just that little bit extra to make the fit more comfortable.
