Works well but probably didn't need the ultrasonic feature

Just got this installed yesterday in a master closet. that has a window immediate to one side at a right angle to the switch. However, the rest of the closet is shaped in such a way that even during the day, we need the track mounted LED lights to be switched on. Could have probably gotten away with a lesser switch since all we're using are: - 30 sec walkthrough timeout feature (don't understand when I would need the light to stay on even more than 5 secs after I leave the closet) - adjustable blinders to disregard the window and anything that may be moving outside - PIR/motion sensing (works well - switches on with just a hand through the doorway next to the wall switch) Probably didn't need the ultrasonic feature in this application. The shower on the other side of the wall from the switch did not trigger the switch in the least sensitive US setting. The switch does switch on with a very muted click It was an easy install provided you can determine which is the hot wire in the wall box vs the load wire. The instructions were not clear on how you'd remove the control panel cover on the switch without scratching or breaking it. But in case you're wondering, a fingernail in the top of the control panel cover should be enough to pry the cover off. A flat screwdriver or anything much harder than a fingernail may marr the cover. Would have liked the unit to also have z-wave control.

Difficult to configure, but ultimately acceptable for florescent tubes with ballast in kitchen.

Edit: I changed it to 10 minutes, since this is apparently better for florescent lights, and I'm relatively happy with it. ======== I'm ultimately disappointed with this. I ended up leaving it on 15 seconds since the next setting seems like forever. In my setting, I can't use ultrasonic at all, or it won't go off when the heat is on. Trying to configure this thing is a huge pain. I wish I had just bought one of the the cheaper PIR sensors I got for the bathrooms, since at least those can be set to stay on for 90 seconds or so, and can be configured simply with dials. That model also can be set to stay on or off. I won't buy another switch from Leviton any time soon. It's too late to return it, and not really worth the hassle, but I may replace it eventually since it's annoying how the light will go off too soon. If the ultrasonic worked in my setting, I'd still be mad at the poor choices of timeout values. How can a company make such an obvious mistake? I want more settings in the 30 second to 3 minute range ideally.

This switch works well, for the most part. I use it for a garage light. One thing a bit weird is if you manually turn off this light, it won't go on again until the entire timeout has expired. So lets say you have this light set to stay on a hour. You move and it goes on, then you manually shut it off, it will not detect motion again for an hour, so if you enter the space again before the hour, no light. Keep that in mind.

This replaced two of lutron's sensors for bath fan and light. Problem with Lutron Sensors: I have shower glass door and while using shower the lights and fan used to go off. Had to open the door and wave the hand in order to get back lighted space. Solution: You guessed it. Catch: It takes little time (several attempts) to get the settings right. Dont install while your have guests visiting though :-). At highest settings even adjacent room's door and at times, just by the touch to door knob will trigger the sensor.I also installed Lutron's screw-less plates and that helped a lot while doing the settings. Journey so far: Leviton ODS-10 (had problem controlling light, tried too many) to Lutron MS-Ops (sensor not sensitive enough) to Leviton OSSMT-MDW Using Lutron elsewhere (Closets, kids Toy Chest Room, Foyer etc - works great as well) My final settings: Ultra Sonic: Lowest, PIR: Highest, NO AUTO "yet" I will be buying more for rest of bathrooms. Love to answer any questions - as always

Wrong description

I chose this sensor so I can control a bathroom light and exhaust fan as the previous reviewer mentioned that worked for him but was disappointed when I received the two units I ordered and found out that it can only control one load. Amazon's description is misleading when it says "Dual-Relay" where in actuality there is only one. I just installed one to control a flourescent lamp and so far it is working just fine but I will know more after few days in operation. I like the ultrasonic capability though and don't have any issue setting it up.

Works 98% of the time but is a little temperamental

Works 98% of the time but is a little temperamental. Have two installed in my garage on the same circuit. Turns on the lights without fail but sometimes they do not want to let go and turn them back off again.

Works great installed behind the bathroom door & 6 feet high

Tested this today to see if it could trigger the accent lights as the bathroom door opened, from 6 feet height. With all three dials at max, it worked perfectly. The bathroom is 5' x 7' small and from that height only with the ultrasonic sensor could it detect the door opening before a person even appears. Also even from that height a person sitting low in the tub behind glass could trigger it with the slightest movement. Exactly what I wanted, expensive, but the normal occupancy infrared sensors didn't do anything I needed this to do!

Energy Saver, Works Well

We installed these in the bathrooms of our office building and they work very well. We had some other sensors that were motion only and they did not perform nearly as well as these. These come right on when you walk in and the faithfully shut the lights (and exhaust fan) off. The instructions can be a bit hard to understand and I spent some time with their tech support on the phone and they were very helpful. One drawback I've noticed now that we've owned them for a while is that if someone comes in turns off the lights by pressing the button on the switch when they leave, it doesn't come back on automatically the next time a person comes in. I don't like that feature.

Great item but timmer issues.

Works great, replaced once with respect to time-out settings. For whatever reasons, the timeout settings default back to 30min - great item, but not perfect.
