Expensive, but worth it.

This really is "Extra heavy Duty Grade" and is easy to install due to the terminals, no bending of a hook on the wire needed.

Fixes that problem...

... of plugs falling out of the socket. I have a fairly new house and most of the outlets are so loose that cords creep out. That's not safe! I started replacing the "good enough for tract house stab-back" outlets with these. They have a very tenacious hold on anything you plug in to them.

heavy duty difficult to side wire these

Leviton 5262-W 15A 125 volt heavy duty outlet. This outlet is made from nylon and feels about 20% heavier than less expensive units. I got these to replace some outlets in the garage that had the ground opening crack. The instructions on the package and on Leviton's website said you can either back wire (not to code in our area) or side wire. Side wiring is difficult as the black backing slots where the wires have to fit are a bit too fat for 14g wire insulation Would be nice if Leviton would have a video showing how they side wire these outlets.

Don't even bother with a lesser product

Yeah they cost more than a buck each, but way more reliable to install and easier to modify. Eight clamping conductor holes on the back.

Multiple ways to to wire and the Contacts are very tight. Quality Design and manufacturing..

Great Heavy Duty Receptacle

These really grip the plug. Used for my audio system because my plugs were halfway hanging out of the original house receptacle. It is slightly more difficult to insert or remove plugs but that is purpose of these to create a stronger electrical connection.

NOT a Contratcor Pack!!!

I received this item thinking it was a contractor pack which it is not. This is 1 receptacle NOT 10. I never do reviews but I had to for this.
