They are fine to wear under pants which is why I purchased them. Could not find them at Walmart.

Knee socks, wide cuff

These are your standard knee high hoisery items. They are sheer enough for me. I like the wide band. The only reason I even wear these aged items are the simple fact I do NOT like stinkie shoes and feet. So, this is a dressier item that fits with dressy pants and flats. No embarassment when shoes are removed.
