Online Every Time

Got this lockset to replace existing one that needed key change. Liked the idea that I can change keys on my rental. Didn't like the idea that local big box stores were 30% more expensive for exactly the same lock set. Installation was pretty easy, existing holes didn't quite match up, so had to improvise a little. So, construction is very good, function is very good, value is excellent, quality is excellent. If you are looking to replace a lockset with one that you can key change later, this is the one!

Overall Great

These lock sets were almost perfect for my needs. The only problem is that one of the deadbolts did not match the keys provided, so I was unable to re-key that lock utilizing the smart key function. I'll have to call out a locksmith for that one to match all of my other lock sets.

High Quality

These doorknobs and locks are so easy to install and feel like they are just made better than the doorknobs and locks we had on our house previously. Our old doorknobs always felt loose, like they weren’t put together right or like something inside was broken. These have a nice, tight feel with a very small movement. In my opinion, that small movement is good because it means there is less chance of something breaking. Anyone who has done any mechanical repairs knows, where there’s movement, there’s a possibility of something breaking… Probably my favorite feature is the ability to rekey these myself so I can have the same keys for every lock on my house rather than a different key for every door. The process is super easy and fast. The best part is the tool you need to change the keys comes with the doorknob/lock.

Lockset with nob was tricky to install.

Love having to need only one key to unlock both locks. The key is very easy to insert and extract and turns very smoothly. Installing the deadbolt was a breeze. Installing the lock set with the nob was a bit tricky. The Philips head screws were hard to tighten with the nob in the way. Older locksets I have installed had a removable nob. Use a good Philips screw driver and take for time.

Functional locks, installation would have been better with traditional screws

Handles and deadbolts function normally, instructions are generally clear. Installation Gripes: The twist-together lock design still requires a screwdriver, and accessing the screws with a normal screwdriver is very challenging (the angle is mostly blocked by the handle itself). Without tightening, the handle will come off through normal use, and the twist on design doesn't speed up installation because you still need to screw in the handle. I would greatly prefer a lock design with further apart screws that were easier to access with a normal screwdriver, that you assemble normally; the current design is frustrating to install. Alternatively, provide an allen wrench style tool to access the screws. Metal of doorplates bends easily if you put too much force on the screws, could be higher quality. For the price, are good value, but a more expensive lock will probably have less issues.

Pleasantly surprised and the re-key feature is great

The ability to use a different key is great. It works as easily as advertised and made it so I only had to reinstall the doorknob and not the deadbolt, which I don't mind...I'll keep the deadbolt in reserve, just in case.

I expected a two pack (2 doors) instead it’s a twin pack for one door.

My Door is tight now

I looked on Youtube videos on how to put this on and it looked pretty easy but wasn't 100% easy with my door but once we got the bottom knob on which is easier it made the door tighter and then the top worked perfectly. I am so happy. One of the reasons why i'm happy is because I was robbed before in a previous apt and when I got home the apt was upside down including my bed they got away with $5,000 worth of guitar equipment and recording gear. I'm on disability and it took me forever to buy that and rebuy all my gear, nothings gonna make me stop my music. In the previous apt everybody should check their locks, it turned out the deadbolt of the old lock in my old apt was so small you could push the door open with force. This Kwikset Juno 991 lock is incredible it has a huge deadbolt that fits and you can twist the inside part if you need the deadbolt to not go too far like not fitting so that's great I didn't have to do anything though. I really love this lock and I don't see anybody busting through this and even if they do I got 2 awesome loud alarms that work great I will be doing a review on those here on Amazon soon too, but I love this exterior door knob it's just everything I needed. I would recommend this to others for sure.

Good lock set

Easy install and works well. Seems a little flimsy when turning the key to lock the deadbolt. Time will tell if it will hold up.

Attractive door handle set. They work well.

Nice set of door handles. They installed easily, although we did have to go to the hardware store to get a replacement part for one of our older doors where the handle was set back about 5".

Overall very happy with the purchase.

Very sturdy quality set. I had to cut out part of the wood on the door to fit the replacement deadbolt rather than just slide into the door's existing hole. Not a real complaint, but would have liked the flexibility to choose mounting it.

Stopped working within a week.

After installing and using the re-keying feature on the knob the product seemed to be in good order. After a few days, however, the lock stopped working. Neither the house keys nor the key that came with the lock would unlatch it. The re-keying tool could not be used to reset it. Unfortunately I had to purchase another lock from a hardware store as I couldn't wait for a replacement to be sent from Amazon. I have used Kwikset products before and had no problems. Hopefully it was a one time issue. The return process was, as always, great.
