Convenient drop-in for Kwiksets

I needed a better way to access my workshop detached from my house, because I kept forgetting the key. It took less than thirty minutes to remove to old knob and install the electronic knob. Programming a few access codes took only a few minutes more, and then I re-keyed the lock set to my house key, a few minutes more. One of the best features of this lock set is that the motor is not used to retract the bolt, it only unlocks things. This translates to longer battery life.

Nice lock, keep reading

It's good looking. Easy to install. Read a review that there's a code that always opens it (1234567890) & that ISNT ACCURATE. I'm glad I bought it anyway. However using this code does wipe out your previously saved codes. But it doesn't open the lock. So for whatever that's worth. The instructions are good, easy to install. Attractive and super easy to program.

Still going strong after 1.5 years

The lock has worked flawlessly since installation. It is located on a main entry door and is used multiple times per day. Battery life is great.

Love it

I installed this for our interior garage door as I was always worried I was going to lock myself out. This has been great. Install was easy and setting the passwords/codes was straight forward. I didn’t realize how loose and rattle-y my previous door handle was because this is a solid lever that doesn’t jiggle or feel cheap. I don’t have this on an exterior facing door; the buttons are rather soft and I’m unsure how they’d hold up if the handle was exposed to weather, but for my use it’s great.

Great lock for front door

Don’t understand why manufacturer didn’t mention front door on their description. It works pretty good. We keep the smart lock on over the day and the deadbolt on at night. We stopped carrying keys and we don’t have to worry about mistaking locking ourselves out. And don’t have to worry about our kids giving the code to others. Only shortcoming is that you can’t lock it from outside. Is difficult to check if deadbolt is locked from outside.

Durable and looks good

Definitely a high quality item as it withstands all weather, hot, cold, and rainy. I was even able to use it with ice on the buttons. I’ve had it for a year and it seems like it will last for years to come.

Great compact lock

Quick and easy to install. I searched all over for a lock that would fit in my small space to fit on the door. This is the most compact in length and works very well. Comes with a key but never have to remember keys at the door again with the codes.

No "normal" locking mode

Bought this for a garage/shed door. The locking options are either AUTO LOCK or UNLOCKED at all times (passage mode). It's clearly stated in the item description so I don't want to give a bad review, it's my bad for assuming that once you unlock with a code or key, it stays unlocked until you press a lock button like the one I have on my front door. It does not. Normal usage would go as follows: Unlock and open the door (auto-locks itself back up immediately). Flip the switch on the inside of the door to "passage mode". close the door. and go about your ins and outs. When you want to lock again, you have to open the door; there's no Lock button on the exterior keypad, flip the switch back to auto lock and then close the door. Not a big deal, but it'll take some getting used to and to me, it's just an extra step that could have been avoided. I still like the product, the quality and all the other features.

Great lock...very sturdy.

I replaced an interior office entrance commercial lock with this lock. The quality was very good and appeared to be as sturdy as the old lock. As long as the thickness of the door in okay it will slip right in. Programming multiple staff took no time at all. Very happy and I would recommend this product. Kwickset is made by Weiser!
