This girl can wear anything!
This coat keeps my Chihuahua mix warm and looks great on her. Her measurements are 10" neck and 15* chest and I ordered an XXSmall. According to the sizing guidelines it should be a little big. The collar is a tiny bit wide, but other than that it fits perfectly. It's a smart looking jacket that's not tight but is form fitting. It's not meant for extreme cold, but neither are Chihuahuas. This will be a mainstay of her wardrobe for years to come.

Great fit for Pitties
The media could not be loaded. This jacket is perfect. My dude is a terrier mix (probably mostly pittie) from Texas. He came up to New England recently and it's been cold out, so he needed something warm. He is a dense 65 pounds, and we got the size Large. I was drawn to this coat because it ends on the chest underneath, compared to lots of other coats, which seem to go pretty far down the belly. The Large ended just above his tail in the back, which was must, because he hates stuff to touch the base his tail. I've had to take in (sew) other jackets that hit his tail or his giblets, but this one didn't hit any of that. This coat is very well made and fits nicely, I'd compare it to a (human) sportcoat, if you need a "Formal" coat for your dog, this one is it.. The rounded bit in the top is slightly firmer than the rest of the coat, so it provides a bit of structure that helps the coat not bunch up. The velcro in the front is actually one of my favorite features. It makes it so I can fasten the coat to fit perfectly around his chest. Cleaning the velcrow off in the future is pretty easy, so I prefer the smooth fit the large velcro patches give to the underside of the coat. This coat is perfect for pitties and other thicc dog breeds like staffies who have large chests and bellies compared to other dogs.

Would be a great jacket if the velcro didn't fail so fast
I've ordered two of these for my shepherd mix dog. I like them because they're not bulky & not too padded. Plus they look great and the colors are unique. The only problem with both of them is, after a year, the velcro starts losing its stickiness. The most recent jacket has lasted a little over a year, and the velcro is already basically shot, so that I have to reattach it several times on our walks. Our dog doesn't help the situation much because she likes to flop down in the snow and do snow angels and that only helps to pull the velcro apart even more.

Smaller Thank Stated
Very nice quality quilted coat; in fact I've just exchanged for a size Large. Be aware that the coat runs smaller than the size chart states: I am holding the Medium, which I ordered after measuring my dog's neck per instructions. The neck is a full inch smaller than stated (too tight) and the back is 3/4" shorter (too short). Fits very snugly around my dog's torso, which is fine, but the other measurements are not. The take away, I guess, is to order up a size if in doubt. An inconvenience for sure, but I think it will be worth it for a coat of this quality (IF the exchange goes smoothly).

Such a great jacket!
I purchased size L in the Lava Lamp print for my 53 lb staffy mix girl and it looks great on her black coat! The material feels soft and durable and the fit is great. I love how thoughtful it is with the zipper opening for harness and it's so easy to put on making it very helpful for my girl who is so excited for walks that she cannot be still for more than 3 seconds.

WARM coat, Sizing is strange
Ok, so I picked this jacket because I found one at a local Hollywood Feed and it was by far the warmest one there. I tested this by wrapping my hand in each jacket and then sticking my hand in the freezer and seeing how long I stayed warm (yes, I did look a bit nuts). This one kept the warmest for the longest time- by far. My hand was actually sweating when out of the freezer. Because of that, I give it a 6 star rating for warmth! I ended up with another jacket for that dog, as she HATES things going over her head and this jacket only goes over the head. Later, I needed a jacket for a foster dog that wouldn't break the bank and I immediately thought of this one. We headed over to Hollywood Feed. They only had down to size Small, and by her measurements, she was solidly in the X-small category. The foster is a 12 lbs Chi-weenie, chest of about 17 inches. The tag on the Hollywood Feed jacket says that an X-small goes up to a 20-inch chest. I didn't bother looking at the Amazon sizing, because clearly she needed the X-small- the small was very baggy on her in the chest and neck, but nicely in the length. PLEASE LOOK AT THE AMAZON SIZING- they seem to have updated it but not the tags yet. That said, when the jacket arrived, I laughed at how small it is- it is TINY. I tried it on the foster- it was like a straight-jacket in tightness. Not only that, but huge amounts of velcro could be felt under the coat. If I were to flip it inside-out to the lighter teal color (the one I liked most), the dog would be rubbed by velcro in sensitive tummy areas. While it was darker-side out, the velcro was out enough to get the dog stuck to the carpet! While this may be a good way to keep your dog still, it was pathetically sad to watch. I tried the coat on my dog, a Chi-italian greyhound mix. She has a 15.5 inch chest and is just a hair over 10 lbs. It is still tight on her- and she is definitely in the range of an X-small on BOTH size charts. The velcro still got her stuck to the carpet. In addition, it doesn't go anywhere close to her tail- I would like more coverage on the back. As you can tell from the photo, she wasn't a fan (she's the one that doesn't like things going over her head), but it really is a nice jacket. All in all, this is a great jacket- if your dog fits it. I would like if Kurgo would figure out a way to make the velcro not touch the dog/carpet- perhaps put the closure on the top or side. I would also like a bit more coverage on the back and better sizing guides. But if this fits, I think it is a perfect jacket! The colors are lovely, the material is warm and seems easy to clean. I just wish it would fit!

Good quality jacket
This is a very good quality jacket, fits my shepherd mix dog very well, except that I wish the jacket would cover his neck more. His size: XL. I also purchased a jacket for my smaller lab mix dog, and even though if fits well around her girth, it does not cover her rump and thighs, so she would get wet in the rain. Her size: L. So I gave 4 stars because the jackets do not cover the neck more, or the rump on my smaller dog. Also, they provide some warmth, but they are on the thin side, not very warm.

Super fit and stunning
I love how easy this jacket is to put on and take off. The velcro fastening is strong & substantial. It really is waterproof and best of all, it keeps the dogs belly and chest dry which is essential in cold weather.

Best coat ever
I have had a number of winter coats for my dog as he feels the cold easily but this is by far the best! It fits really well with the adjustable velcro on side. It seems to be comfortable and warm and it is rain resistant. We were out in the rain at the weekend but when we got home, my dog was dry. The coat was covered in mud but a quick spin in the washing machine and it came up like new. This coat is easy to put on and the zip at the top means it is easy to get to the harness. Will certainly be buying this brand again. Just a note: The dark blue side of the coat fits super well but the velcro for the light blue side is different and doesn't fit quite as well - that's fine for though as we don't need two colors and everything else about the coat is perfect.

Expensive and not practically reversible
It's fairly well made and an okay design. My annoyances is that I wouldn't count it as reversible. I got the blue&orange and wanted to use the orange for visibility. But the if you have a sight hound with a big chest and small stomach and try to tighten the velcro to the right size you have two flaps that look like velcro wings sticking out at the side. Basically there needs to be velcro on both sides to work the same on both sides. My other complaint is that this SO expensive compared to most. It's well made, fair enough but crazy expensive. I mainly bought it because my dog is a miniature Podenco - so has a large chest but very thing stomach, and most jackets which are the right length don't go around her chest. There are relatively well-made jackets for half the price, just not the right shape.

NOT REVERSABLE - WILL CAUSE SKIN IRRITATION
This coat is advertised as reversible but it is not. The prickly velcro on the chest is exposed when the coat is put on with the grey fabric on the outside. This is a design fault. I would expect a dog's skin would become sore and irritated if the coat was put on with the grey side on the outside - especially dogs that have hardly any hair on their chests like mine. Very disappointing to have to pay for return postage when this item has had to be returned as it is not fit for purpose and not as advertised. I can expect to pay for return postage when an item does not fit but this is not the case here with the coat not being as advertised.

Great value jacket, reasonable body coverage
Really cute little rain jacket for our Cavapoo, had lots of compliments when out for walks! I mainly bought this so when he rolls around while playing with the other dogs, he gets a little less wet/messy. For this purpose it works great! Far less of him comes back soaking wet. He has no trouble running full speed with this on, doesn’t bother him at all. He has a Julius K9 harness underneath and the little harness zip works well for that. It’s a little fiddly to actually get at the harness lead loop at times but nothing deal breaking as long as your dog is happy sitting still while you fish it out. He’s around 7kg in the pictures and this has plenty of growing room in it. The coverage along his back isn’t quite as good as I’d hoped but the part that goes under his belly works well. I haven’t machine washed it yet but a damp cloth cleans it up really well in the mean time. One thing I’ve noticed, as others have, is that calling this reversible is a little misleading. As the Velcro is also reversed, it’s really difficult to actually tighten the coat when it’s reversed. I can’t say I’m that bothered but worth a thought if the reversible feature is important to you. Overall, really pleased, would recommend!
