It didn't fix my problem

Maybe I didn't clean the old carb well enough when I had everything taken apart. I wound up getting a new carburetor to fix the problem. Still, I think it was worth trying this first.

These are OEM parts and the kit had everything + that I needed.

Big kit of oem parts

This does appear to be an open kit, possibly the catch all kit for every tank mounted carb Briggs makes? You won't use all the gaskets, but that's normal. Note this doesn't have the fuel pump spring or the ring that goes over it. But, it does have the metering needle valve with its spring, washer, etc. Then save for the next machine you work on, and just get the individual parts you need and have already used.

All Parts included as expected

Previously I had written a poor review because I felt that I was missing pieces. Turns out they were packaged separately and I had just misplaced it. Great product!

OEM Briggs and Stratton quality parts.

Box was stuffed in bubble envelope and crushed by usps. Luckily gaskets and pieces I needed were still good. Quality OEM items but poor packaging.. Tiller running good again.

Exactly what I needed

Needed to rebuild the carb on a very old generator I picked up for nearly free. Thankfully, B&S engines are easy to get parts for. This kit came with nearly enough gaskets to rebuild the carb twice, but had all the ones I needed. Engine purrs like a kitten again and I got a generator for the price of a gasket set, air filter, and a little work!

Old Engines can Live!

Like most generic kits this one contained more that I didn’t need, and the most important part, the fuel pump diaphragm, arrived folded over, and required a few days of pressing between two flat surfaces weighted down with 6 pounds of babbit, before it was suitable for use. Engine ran well afterward. That was the most important thing.

I was surprised that this is an actual Briggs And Stratton rebuild kit, came with a variety of extra gaskets to fit multiple engines and carbs.

seems to be a waste. Everything I used

Only used 3-4 parts from this kit. Most oft he parts were for other. I get that they try to put kits together to cover various units, but when using 3-4 pces from a 20 piece set, seems to be a waste. Everything I used, fit. There is one tiny jet, tha tI believe to be the low idle jet and there is nothing in the kit for that.

Contained all the parts for an older 5hp Briggs in line carb. Worked perfect. Made in the USA by Briggs. Not off shore crap.
