Be aware there are left and right cartridges

For a first-timer the installation ended up taking much longer than I thought. Finding the correct cartridge then finding the feeder lines were nearly closed off from mineral deposits ended up being frustrating. But I learned a lot.

These cartridges work well with the Kohler faucet. Only I didn't get the parts on time for the job & had to go somewhere else as their order came in before mine.

these only last a year?

This is a replacement for the original valve. The original valve bound up after only a little over two years, with softened water. Replaced it less than a year ago and now the third one is freezing up already. Not an inexpensive or well made product. I am getting disenfranchised with Kohler for a good number of reasons.

Perfect replacement OEM for the Hot water side of faucet. Easy to replace with a Ratchet socket.

New Valve Leaks

This valve was easy to source and to install. Unfortunately my tap now has a continuous leak from the spout indicating that the new valve has failed. Kohler Service is unavailable these days so I have no option but to buy another of these valves and hope for the best.
