This is a nice toilet seat though the self closing might appeal to the ladies . This is a guys seat it stays up !
I am very pleased came in a box stating it was 18 5/8 by 14 3/16 . My old seat was ok but the plastic bolts that held it on deteriorated and broke after just 3 years . It was a cheap seat they basically put plastic throwaways on toillets you have to replace now a days . Since it was 7 bucks for the bolts and only 15 bucks for the whole seat I bought a new seat hoping it would be nicer . It is very nice . If I wanted to be critical the only downside is where the hinges screw into the seat you could get gunk build up . Otherwise it was great just pop the plastic cap and insert the bolt then use a phillips screwdriver to tighten . Really was installed in less then a minute . Very nice thick wood seat . Paint looked ok to me . The holes in the toilet are larger then the bolts so it could get a tad off center but never hurt the function like some have said theirs tilts to one side just loosen it , align and tighten down . It probally will move when you sit on it but again it doesnt effect function the only way to fix it would be to sleeve the bolts some how to fit tighter through the bowl which is not necessary . I am very pleased what a deal delivered for that price . Even at $27 the suggested retail price it would be fair . I wouldnt want to make one and glad I got rid of that cheap plastic one that came with the new toilet . I took it and mounted it to the lid of a 7 gallon pail after cutting the middle out of the lid and now have a portable toilet . I just line it with a trash bag after use pick up , twist tie and dispose when were tent or car camping .

For an inexpensive toilet seat it has done the job nicely.
Needed a new seat for our new toilet. The toilet is a Kohler and I figured that it would best to purchase their seat as it should be the perfect fit. Not really so... Well, only off a little, but enough for the wife to notice. I have to admit that I noticed it too but was willing to live with it. For some reason the toilet shape is just a bit longer to the front than the seat so about 1/4" or so of the toilet sticks out past the seat tip. No adjustment was able to correct this. We ended up installing a handicap booster seat between so it no longer is an issue. Other than that we like the seat. Included is the seat itself and the hardware for mounting. It is a very easy install and no real tools are needed. Even knowing the shape difference we would still purchase it again.

Very sturdy
Both the seat and cover are solid, no flimsy plastic and very easy to install. Surfaces are flat so easy to clean instead of all the molded angles on the underneath my old plastic seat. Tell the folks that you don’t want in your bathroom that you bought a “used” toilet seat LOL but it arrived completely new & wrapped in original packaging in perfect condition- the box was crushed on one corner but it didn’t damage the seat.

It sits. It’s comfortable. And wipes down clean. I had a hard time at the big box store finding a wooden seat in Biscuit and this was a perfect match for my Koehler. No soft close but that’s fine. Saved $$$ By ordering here

Inexpensive "traditional" Kohler seat
A classic, heavy, round toilet-seat. It has a mild bevel around the outside of the lid, which doesn't exactly match my ca.1998 Kohler toilet, but doesn't clash either. The color/finish match perfectly. The seat is made of the classic wood/plastic blend, rather than lightweight all-plastic, like some newer seats. That means it will bang when you set it down hard, but the lid doesn't flex or crack if somebody sits down on it. More importantly, this has the classic mounting hinges, rather than the "quick-release" flexible hinges the plastic-lids have. Those quick-release hinges always wobble, so the nuts work loose, until the seat is only loosely attached. I've experienced this on multiple Kohler seats, two toilets, different models. So I'm avoiding them-- besides, how often do you need to remove your toilet-seat?? Maybe in a public restroom or if you have multiple male children in the house (I'm sorry, if so), and you need to do some serious sanitizing on a regular basis. But I keep a rather clean house, and I've never wanted to remove my toilet seats for any reason other than replacing them (and that's once a decade). So I'll stick to this classic hinge/connector that I don't have to re-tighten monthly. I noticed the same model seat at a local big-box DIY store. It's notably cheaper here and with Prime shipping, it was an easy decision to replace my stained old seat. Recommended.

Good toilet seat
We replaced a 5 year old plastic toilet seat with this wooden one. It had gotten scratched somehow (cleaning products?). This seat is a bit heavier and therefore you can't let the lid drop or it bangs quite loudly. We got it in summer so I can't say if the seat is any warmer than the plastic one, but they say wood is more comfortable. It was easy to install, fit perfectly our elongated toilet, great deal for $17 when they were minimum $50 at Home Depot.
