Best Well-Machined Pump Pliers Ever

I am very picky when it comes to picking out tools to use. I want the best quality and i want them to be Made in USA. I have compared these pliers to many others like it. These pliers are well-machined, the metal is well-forged. You can tell the company KLEIN took the time to forge these pump pliers. Other companies do not really forge the metal. The tongue-n-grooves are all sharp on these. The Kleins are VERY sturdy compared to its compatition. READ THIS: I compared Klein pump pliers to Snap-On tongue-n-groove pliers, Matco tongue-n-groove pliers, and I can honeslty say that the Klein pliers are the ones better made. Klein pump pliers look, feel, and perform more sturdy than the Snap-On and Matco competitors. I have been in skilled trades for 16 years, been deployed military carpenter, became a journeyman welder, going into the Lineman trade, and if I was a professional auto mechanic, I would buy Klein pliers instead of the Snap-On or Matco brand. Odd shape

I got these to see if they would be good. They’re ok at best, they are loose fitting at the pivot so tongue and groove engagement is maybe 50% and the jaws are very small for 10” pliers. The handles are great, the thinned down business end is nice but just too loose to be go to tool. Channellocks are better and cheaper.

I would give them 5 stars but for the price. There are a lot of equally good pump pliers out there for less money. These are good quality, but I paid for the name. Channellock would be a better purchase. But do yourself a favor and buy Knipex.

These are great channel lock pliers. Until I discovered Klein’s higher end line of pump pliers, and then I discovered Kinipex brand pump pliers. I went with the Kinipex pliers. If you are a loyal Klein fan you wouldn’t be wrong buying these pliers.
