it just works

its been out in the weather for 6 months, windy and cold and shows no sign of wear. at all. and there is alot of sharp edges that should wear holes in but nope....

no grommets

so, it is designed for a pretty large wood splitter. It has an eleastic cord around the lower edge to hold it onto the wood splitter, but i have a smaller electric one, and fear this cover will just blow off. so now i am wondering how to tie it onto the frame of my smaller wood splitter. there is one place i can attach to, there is a strap on the inside that holds a storage bag....that is going to be my main attach point. but still, it would be nice if there were say six grommets at the edges to allow a tiedown!

Good product and value.

Sturdy fabric and well made. I'd have given it 5 stars but I really wish it was large enough to cover my tires as well. Had it on my log splitter after a recent rain and water was pooled in the fabric so it's definitely waterproof.

Don't put the cover on until the engine, especially the muffler shroud, cools to the touch.

Der scheist spalter covers as advertised . Hope it lasts a ling as the previous one made from the same material - 15+ years.

Holds up well in Nevada sun and wind.

This is the third one I have bought in about 7 or 8 years for our Honda powered 27 ton Troy-Bilt . The harsh high Nevada desert is rough on them with intense sun and constant high winds. Honestly, this one seems a little better than the first two and was cheaper @ $22 vs $28 the last time I bought on in 2016. This one is not nearly as tight as the previous ones which should help it from having holes torn in it by the wind. After the two others, I have learned to pull the pin on the ram activating handle to keep it from sticking up. I also had a roll of foam camper shell tape lying around so put it on the any sharp edges that could potentially cut through it. Easily worth the money to keep our log splitter good. If I get two years out of this one like the others, for the price I will be happy. I don't understand people giving these bad reviews considering the prices. I figure if I can get two years out of one, it's easily worth the cheap cost. Like I said, put foam or something on sharp edges to help prevent rips.

A decent cover for the money, but time will tell how long it will last

I bought this to cover my Huskee log splitter, and it does a decent job of protecting it from the elements. It fits over the entire splitter, if you're careful about how it's aligned. It could have been made better with some tightening straps or bungee hooks along the bottom to keep it in place, but it does the job. I question how it will hold up in direct sunlight, so I plan to put it under another tarp for the summer months.

Fits the 42 ton Swisher log splitter perfectly

Fewer tie downs that the older version of the same log splitter cover, but otherwise it is the same. Nicely made.

No complaints but some drawstrings / bungie cords would help

Heavy duty and pretty well functional. But... I did add a couple of bungie cords to wrap around the front and rear portions of the cover to keep it all tightly lashed down when I tow the splitter around the property.
