Get the job done

I only needed a couple of pots for a few pepper plants I started so this was a good buy, and don’t have a million left over.

Easy to use

Put seedlings in when ready to use pot is ready to plant

Great for seed starting and eventual move to a deeper pot

I use these to start seedlings and eventually plant the whole thing in a larger pot so I don’t need to pull the plant out and risk root damage. They work great. I use a small pair of scissors to make small holes at the base for drainage. When away, I put them in pans with water so they’ll continue to get water. The material can get a little weak if they’re in water for a while, but so far none has become unusable. The roots come through fine and all plants are growing well. Plus, biodegradable! Used to use plastic orchid-style pots but I feel good knowing I’m not putting plastic into the environment. Only downside is you can’t re-use, but that’s fine with me. Honestly, I think a fresh pot for every seedling is best. I’d say 80% of seeds germinate and end up as strong plants. Highly recommended if you grow from seeds.

Impressive. Using these side by side vs the pots I've used for years and it's easy to see these will not waste your time. They do their job.

Handy peat pots

They are good for seed starting.

they did not compost or dissolve.

Great idea, but they did not disintegrate to let the roots expand. Six weeks later the pot restricted the root growth, resulting in zero progress in the cycle. effectively choking the roots.

Missing bottom

Really this is hardly worth writing about as I only needed 4 of them to start some cucumbers. They are just as described, but one of the 6 was completely missing a bottom, as though it had been sheared off. All I can say is if you need 6, maybe get two packages. You'll always use them.

Not what I ordered

One of the packages only contained 5 items. The other one contained the 6 items as advertised. Also, I finally found these at a nursery for $2.99 per package. How can this possibly cost $14.99?
