Rigid, but gets the job done

I was expecting it to have a bit more flex to allow me to easily place cables inside, but the plastic is pretty rigid. Thicker cables can be pretty difficult to tuck away

Great way to simplify cable management

After years of trying different methods of concealing cables and, whenever something needed to be swapped out or changed groaning because I'd essentially have to undo all my work, I saw someone using a raceway on reddit and couldn't believe such a simple solution exists. Certainly this won't solve all cable management problems, but for me it solved the vast majority, and in a way that's extremely easy to work with and change. First off, like virtually everyone, it seems, I'm using this with a desk made of pieces purchased from Ikea. The raceway itself is taller than the desktop is thick, so it hangs down a bit, but the adhesion strip is almost exactly the same thickness as the desktop. The desk I'm using has a kind of texture to it, so unfortunately the raceway isn't adhered quite as tightly as I'd like, but it has never fallen down - it would just be a bit easy to pull off, which ultimately is probably a good thing. I have almost every single cable running through the raceway, and while it did get a bit difficult to keep jamming them in there, whenever I've had to pull one out it's been very easy. No more having to cut cable ties or reposition those little cable clips adhered by foam tape that always tears and leaves a mess - just grab one end, pull slowly along the length of the raceway, and out it pops. One other thing to note is that I had to actually saw the raceway into certain length pieces, as I have a monitor clamp on my desk I had to work around. So I just measured, used a fine-toothed handsaw to cut, and sanded down the edges. Also had to measure and cut the adhesive strips since they're the same length as the raceway pieces, but this was no big deal. Anyway, if you need to run cables along a straight distance, I would strongly recommend this. I'm unable to use something like this in more complex setups, but even just running them along the baseboard of a wall helps clean up the cable clutter to a considerable degree, and it makes a big difference in the overall look of everything while requiring *very* little effort.

Great idea

We did not use these on a desk. We recently switched from carpet to hardwood floors. This was a plus in helping to hide cords and also to keep them organized.

Great for hiding computer wires on a desk

I have a desk located in the middle of my room and I normally try to hide all the USB cables, etc. underneath the desk. I recently upgraded from my desktop iMac to a Mac Mini which means I have many more cables to hide. I purchased this J-Channel to be installed on the front of my desk to hide the rat nest of wires going between my Mac Mini and the monitor and other peripherals I have on and under my desk. The J-Channel itself is pretty sturdy and well constructed. It comes with a 2-sided sticky adhesive pad which was super sticky and strong (taking off the protective film was a bit difficult!). The J-Channel stuck to the front of my wood desk with no problem and was strongly attached. All of the cables and wires were neatly stowed in the channel and out of sight-- mission accomplished! I'm really glad I purchased this product and highly recommend it for having a tidy desk.

Much Smaller than the Pictures but Decent.

They're about half as wide as the images display so be aware. For the money they're fine and they stick very well, still being able to hold about 5-6cables each. Any more than 5-6 cables just won't fit bc they're too small. Would be a 5 if not for how small they are compared to what is shown.

Perfect for cable management

These cable trunks are absolutely essential to clean up your cables. I have a gaming setup with lots of wires and cables. These easily hide the cables and even a small power brick for speakers or a monitor. Included in the box: 5 J channels without adhesive 5 adhesive strips you must attach yourself. Pros - they stick onto your walls or desk firmly and leave no residue when taken off - do no take up too much space and can easily hide multiple thick extension cord wires - seamlessly blend into a black desk (if you have the black product) and are only seen if you actively look for them Cons - Set length of around 40cm which cannot be easily cut unless you have a saw. - you must apply the adhesive to the back yourself Overall it's a solid product which I would highly recommend to anybody who wants to hide their cables and clean up their room.

Missing Content.

The goods were received in a timely fashion. Very expensively packaged, the J Channel itself is well finished and seems very robust. However, the package arrived with NO adhesive tape. I could have returned it but I chose to buy some tape for a £fiver from my local B&Q store which worked fine. SimpleCord should be more careful with their QC and this will make me very cautious about using them again

Can’t put many cables in

I thought they were deeper than they are and the top has no real gap, you have to force the cables in and you can’t get many in each one. The good thing is that you get 5 and the adhesive is very good.

not strong enough

The adhesive on the back of this product says its strong but its not. i installed it under my desk and within two days it fell of.
