Quality shorts

I bought these moisture wicking black golf shorts for my son. They are high quality and look sharp. I knocked one star off for the inner waistband. We were both confused by the green grippy band sewn inside the shorts as we had never seen anything like that before, but maybe that is common with golf shorts. Maybe it is a nonslip surface to grip the waist better? It seems unnecessary. My son wore them for a full day and I asked him if the band irritated him in any way and he said it did not. He refuses to wear shorts with drawstrings unless I remove them, having some minor sensory issues, so it is positive that this texture passed his test. He is nearly 16 but very slim and under 100 lbs. I bought him a size 14 and they fit well. He has many similar shorts of various brands, although not specifically geared toward golf. Compared to his others, I would rank these up with those that are name brands and higher quality. If the green band texture doesn't bother you, I highly recommend.

Nice quality, sizing might be a bit off

Being familiar with the IZOD brand, I am excited for my almost 4 year old to have some quality shorts for this upcoming summer. He spends a lot of time outside, so the moisture wicking quality and sun protection factor are important to us, so we are pleased with those details. Being recently potty trained, the button is definitely testing his patience. The overall sizing feels a bit off to me, but we're just starting to get him into 4T sized bottoms. However, these seem extremely LONG for 4T shorts regardless. The waist is still way too big for him, as well, so thankfully there are the adjustable elastic bands secured with buttons. Overall the quality is great, as expected from this brand, but I was just caught off guard at how long "golf" style shorts are, apparently - especially for a 4 year old.

water resistant with a clean look

These shorts are 100% polyester (kind of feel like a nice quality spring or fall jacket) and are certainly moisture wicking. They have a higher-end look and would be nice for the golf course or other places where you want your child to look a bit more civilized. They are machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The waistband has a rubbery strip inside that keeps it in place on the wearer during activities. The stitching is good and the color is as described in the ad. I am a fan of the sun protection! I ordered a size 10 for a boy who usually wears a ten but occasionally a 10 slim, he's lean. The waist was pretty large on him. The length is almost knee length. He will certainly have to wear a belt and I would say these may run a little large overall for those of average size. These are nice shorts for golf and look sharp and sophisticated.

small waist

I ordered my son's true size (10) although most clothes are 10-12. The waist was tight on him. I would order up a size up to a 12. He also didn't love the green "rubber" strip inside the waist to help hold the pants up. The fabric was great, moisture wicking, athletic, cool. The shorts look sharp just small on him.

Great fit

The shorts are very well made. These are for my six year old. The length is good but I’m kind of worried about the waist, as it just fit him now with 3 months before he’ll be wearing them. The button is hard for both of us to fasten, which is also a concern. I’ll put a smaller button on, but for the price, I don’t feel like that’s something I should be doing. The color is accurate and the fabric is awesome.
