The replacement works well.

The replacement works well. Delivery was not timely, The first unit I received was wrapped in yellow tape with felt marker saying "Broken". I guess they shipped "the wrong one?" They did ship a replacement without waiting on the first unit to be returned. (How could this happen?)

Uses ALOT of air

Works great but will drain 50 gallon tank in seconds

Cuts flat metal

This cuts flat metal just fine and ribbed roofing sheets with some difficulty. It can make extremely sharp turns where other tools can’t. However, if you’re cutting straight lines use something else, like a circular saw. This thing gets very sharp half moon nibbles all over the place. I’m going to keep it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Lube cutter of tool!

At first I was about to return it! Then talked to someone that had used one. He recommended using WD 40 or some sort of lube, well that is the trick works great with lube!

Very usefull seems well built

Works nice for cutting out body work patch panels out of tin. Little pieces it shaves/nibbles off really get stuck in your shoes

Solid product, but could be better

The size, shape and function of this item are great. Seems like high quality, and rips through steel and aluminum. It would get higher marks from me if it: 1) Came with detailed care instructions (oiling, maintenance) 2) Had the ability to rotate the head angle to work in tighter locations

Make sure you have a large volume compressor

It seems like it would work if you had a huge compressor but my compressor kept running low on air too fast for it to run properly so did not work for me unfortunately the product itself seems like pretty heavy duty so only recommend if you have a large volume compressor

Bonne qualité mais pas nécessairement idéal pour de la tôle de toiture ondulé

Acheté pour couper des feuilles de tôle ondulé pour une toiture. L'outils est de bonne qualité et fonctionne mais, ça ne vas pas aussi bien que dans leur vidéos. Peut-être que je manque un peu de dextérité avec cet outils mais c'est avéré très irritant de passé les ondulation (les cosses dans le métal) à certain moment, je me suis tanné et j'ai utilisé mes ciseaux à tôle. Toutefois, là ou il n'y avait pas de cosse, l'outils avançait assé bien.

Unreliable

Seized up and started just blowing air after a few days of use. Returned and repaired through IR’s warranty program, but by the time it was returned to me I had found another tool for the project. That’s the bummer about these warranties - it’s repair and return of a deficient product, not a refund. Haven’t tried it since it was returned to me. It was good for the short time that it lasted.

Poor quality

Poor quality tool. Used to do sheet metal on one roof. Nibbler is cutting in an out randomly. Sounds like something is stuck or jammed and then it releases and works ok until it does the same thing after another minute. Pay the extra money for something better.

Good brand name product

Had to jump start it when air first applied - cutter piston was stuck. After it was freed up it worked just fine.
