Really nice hinges, real professional appearance

These hinges, half surface, look really nice on the finished product. Many people are complaining that the screws are poor quality. I had no issues with the screws. I used an awl to mark the center of the hole, predrilled each hole, and the screws went in perfectly. Adjusting the tension was simple with the included rods.

Slam a screen door

Hinders work fine. Quality could have been better. Was not the finish but they are good. I would suggest offering this product in a three pack. I had to order 4 to get 3.

Does the job well enough, but should be better

This hinge has a nice vintage appearance and the finish is nice. Its quality seems good and it is sturdy enough to, I think, stand up to years of use. That being said, it is not inexpensive so its flaws are bothersome. Over the first month of use I've needed to adjust the spring tension setting because the spring tension has significantly weakened over that short period. Also, the spring is very noisy when under load.

Well made hinge but with a problem

It's a well made hinge and if it were $20 less I would probably give it 4 stars. In my book the expectation curve goes up as the cost goes up. The only issue I had were the mounting screws. They are brass,small and soft. If you're someone who likes to tighten screws until they're snug (makes sense right?) you better buy some decent wood screws, With VERY little effort I snapped the heads off 2 screws. The good news is the brass is so soft it's easy to drill out and replace with a decent wood screw. For the price they should have supplied much better screws i.e stainless.

Great storm door hinges

Nice medium duty spring loaded door hinges. The spring loading has a of of force but can be adjusted pretty easily. I've installed them on two weathered exposed, wood storm doors.

Used these on a cedar screen door I had made ...

Used these on a cedar screen door I had made from 2x4's. Thought they wouldn't be strong enough to shut the door on its own - was I ever wrong. They have enough umph to shut the door, but not slam the snozhberries out of it!
