Natural feeling base layer

Best merino wool base layer yet

I have recently become a true believer in the superior qualities of merino wool as a base layer and have been trying different articles as I find them on sale. I have been wearing this one for about 2 months. I think I paid $40 for this one. I am so glad I bought 2. I can wear this for many days in a row. It does not hold on to odor at all. It maintains its shape well. I have washed it with a normal mix of clothes and it comes out looking great. This shirt will be worn a lot this winter. Hope it holds up well.

Quality baselayers on a budget

As a sportsman who spends a great deal of time out in the elements, layers are essential. Marino wool has no substitute for the best base you can use. On a recent trip to South Dakota these baselayers were warm and comfortable all week in 20 degrees temps as well as not stinky at the end. I recommend ice-breaker Marino as a exelant choice for budget minded outdoors people...

Great for bike rides in cold weather

I used this shirt as base layer under my long-sleeve bicycle jersey today on a long bike ride starting off at around 40 degrees F and ending at around 60. This worked great. I stayed warm and the shirt never got wet and felt super-comfortable. I am 6’4’’ and bought an XL. It fits great but I wish the sleeves were a little longer.

Good fit but weak cuffs

Good fit for the Medium on 6’/155lb. Very thin and the cuffs stretch out and stay looser.

Just what he wanted!

My husband asked doe these to wear hunting and he thinks they are so soft and comfortable. He is tall and we ordered the large. They are perfect to wear layered under hunting or work clothes.

LIGHTER WEIGHT WOOL meant to layer

This is a lighter weight Icebreaker layer-170. It seems to be one to layer under other pieces. Wash it inside out & in cold water and let it air dry to help keep it's color and shape. I bought it as present for my guy who wears a lot of Icebreaker garments. If I had been able to feel the thickness of the material, I probably would not have bought this shirt. I I had purchased the same kind of style in the 260 weight and that is a durable top with good insulation. This one may be better for Spring/wear under other layers.

Performant base layer: tick!

A fantastic top. Fits snugly all over: both body and arms. Zips up the neck too. Very good quality as you would hope/expect for the price. The sleeves are plenty long enough for me and I have longer arms than normal humans. Despite the fit it doesn’t feel claustrophobic or make one sweat. I have several now.

Awesome top for outdoors.

Used as a cycling top on a multi day tour. Great top, warm when needed, no sweating, light, comfortable. Too marks from me, would not hesitate to recommend.

Good value, does its job.

This is a thinner version of the icebreaker base layer than my previous one (lost) but quite a bit cheaper. I use it for skiing and didn't notice any lack of warmth. I rate it highly, does its job.
