i like it

the fan looks exactly like advertised. i honestly like it. the only problem i have, the electricians who installed this set it on "winter-time" and i had no clue on how to change that. but a look at the website solved that problem. somewhat of a no-brainer, but i am an old woman... some of the reviews said that it is not very bright, but mine is in my bedroom. therefore perfect. it did not have a remote, even though i thought it would have, either way, i am happy with this purchase.

Quiet, smooth and good looking

I had two inexpensive fan/lights on my 26x12 screened in back porch. They lasted a few years then their fans quit only a few weeks apart. Ordered these to replace the old ones. They look much better and the fans have a lot more speed than my old ones, with more settings, from slow to fast. Smooth and very quiet, too. Can't say they were super easy to install, since I spent a lot of time with my arms raised up, but basically a very straightforward installation, with excellent instructions. The mounts appear to be strong and well engineered. Very satisfied with these fans.

This is a good looking ceiling fan

This fan doesn't come with a remote. But it's easy to install, is made well, and looks awesome. This is a really nice looking fan. The bulbs that come with the fan light kit are 9watt soft white LED & they don't light a room up very well. But as far as being quiet, we'll balanced out of the box, moves air well for the room size i put it in, and looking great. It's an awesome fan and I do not regret the purchase & would buy another if I needed it. I can't say enough on how good this fan looks

Beautiful fan! Read for installation tips!!

I love this fan so much that I have TWO of them! I saw the reviews where people were having difficulties with the installation. It is my hope that my review can help others so that installation is a breeze like it was for us. First, just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. They are better than most and in plain English. The hardware is marked in shape-coded bags that are provided in each step. Pay close attention to these shapes in every step and you’ll be fine! When mounting the ceiling bracket plate, we installed a thick washer on each screw anchor at ceiling before mounting plate, so that the small round cover would mount flush with ceiling. You will want to test the small cover against the plate holes to make sure they line up before you continue to second step!! Grab a couple of washers before you get started as we needed them for both fans, so this must always be an issue. When assembling the fan blades, you’ll want to screw the smaller, decorative 5-sided piece onto the side of the blade that you want pointing down (showing in your room) and place the bracket arm on the upper (non-visible) side of the blade so that the metal finish appears “INSIDE-OUT”!!! This is very important and is clearly illustrated in the directions. If you don’t, the bracket arm will rub on the light hood. Hold the fan blade with desired side down...line up the smaller piece underneath to the screw holes as you look down through them...line up the bracket on top, recessed side up, and insert the screws. (This will all make sense when you have in-hand.) When assembling with screws that must be anchored to notched-out slits in the metal framework, just back them out a little until the mounting will turn easily to set. You’ll see this in two sections of assembly. It sounds difficult. It ISN’T! My husband and I installed two of these fans in under two hours. You’ll want to purchase two 75-watt, 1100 lumens LED bulbs to replace the ones that the company provides, otherwise you won’t have much light at all through the thick, frosted globe. The directions explain clearly how to wire for one- or two-switch control as well. This fan is well-made, GORGEOUS and quiet. It’s PERFECT for my nautical theme decorating! Highly recommend!

Beautiful but misled

Purchased the fan based on research for a “wet” rated ceiling fan and wanted 5000+ CFM. This fan was SUPPOSED to be both of those (per Amazon and the Hunter website) but we get the boxes in and fans hung up (Back patio + Florida = wet and humid and hot) to find they are only “damp” rated and 3500 CFM. Slightly frustrated to spend this much and research (and cross research) for them to not be what I was wanting. Are they beautiful, yes. We’re they easy to hang, yes. Do they move more air than my 8 year old tiny ceiling fans, yes.

It's a nice looking fan and fairly easy to install

Bought this fan to install above the stairs in our home. It's a nice looking fan and fairly easy to install. It's been a while since I've installed a fan and was surprised that there was no "safety wire". Maybe these wires are a thing of the past. I found the hardware (small bolts) were a little on the short side. I installed the unit using two Westinghouse wireless remotes so that I could still control the fan and light from either the top or bottom of the stairs. The receiver fit tightly under the fan canopy. (in other words was able to emulate a 3-way switch system). The fan is quiet and a nice addition to our farm style home. Overall quite satisfied.

Quiet + moves the air!

We have had this fan up in our covered porch for almost a month. We are very happy with it. We were able to connect the preivous fan's remote receiver (also a Hunter) to it and it works perfectly. My husband observed that this does not come with a safety chain (inside the housing to prevent it from falling on someone if something ever goes wrong), so he rigged something up. The only design flaw I see, is that the switch to change directions of the fan baldes is inside the light housing...meaning you have to remove the entire glass and cage surrounding the light bulbs to do so. Not great in multi-seasonal areas. Otherwise, no complaints to date.
